It's possible her studies had an emphasis on metaphysics, but I guarantee you her degree, if she completed it-- and I think she probably did-- says "philosophy". Pedantic maybe, but still a lie. That one time she was talking about a teacher who was clearly Mr. Campbell, but she lied about the teacher being a "she", I suspect because on some level she realized how inappropriate it sounds. Lana saying that her family "never had any money". Another contender for the ur-lie of Lana lies. So unnecessary, and especially unfortunate that she responded to the (as far as I can tell) unsubstantiated and meritless allegations that her dad bought her career. Responding to that lie with this lie in the opposite direction really fed the inauthentic inauthenticity narratives. Perhaps arguable that this one is demonstrable, but I would argue there is enough evidence to conclude that it is. The Institute of Innnovative Thinkers. Ha. It's basically become a clichéd metonym for this tendency of hers to make unrealized commitments. In now-deleted tweets, almost Trumpian levels of promised charitable donations with no follow through... or perhaps was there, albeit way later than promised?

It's pretty much confirmed that she did have work done on her face, right? She lied about that a few times. (Not trying to start anything, please correct me if I'm wrong.)

I don’t get how she can even get writers block because honestly she just comes out with the same stuff in a slightly different style. Songs about relationships, bad boys, drugs, cars and Americana.

I'm so glad leakers are getting read for filth on this thread. This era really has seen it all (even if its not necessarily in a good way). Its one thing to leak songs and share it with the fanbase. Its still wrong/ illegal but in a way its like doing it for the greater good and though the artist will lose money it does generate hype and exposure for them. However, illegally procuring music just so you can hoard it for yourself, and flaunt that to thousands of people over social media is sick and twisted, doesn't help the artist at all, and really just shows insecurity and an obsessive need for power and validation from strangers.
 

Why do people apologize for critiquing her live shows? If you pay to hear her sing live and she's barely singing, don't you deserve a refund? Or at the very least, the right to complain lmao
 
Hearing how people save up money to see her and then get subpar performances is sad. You paid money to see her, yes you are entitled to a good performance that had effort put into it.
 
Her older performances were really good, where she gets into the song and she's alone on stage. Her vocals were unique, everything was uniquely Lana. From the dropping down low during body electric, the way her hands would move during songs and her hugging her lead guitarist during solos. It's sad to see how 'dead' she's become. I think criticism over time really wore her down. She's also mentioned having health problems.
 
And god, digressing but her performances on that one french show, she looked impossibly beautiful. I'm always sad I got into Lana so late that I completely missed 2012 Lana. OH AND THAT ICONIC LANA AT THE SWEDEN SHOW, where she does The Hairflip during Cola. RIP that Lana.
