We’re not gonna treat it like an elephant in the room. this is a discussion board to share our thoughts and opinions, analyze, and dissect what we think about each song. we simply all love her and have been following her for years. if a hint at recent drug usage comes up, we’re gonna be curious to know if it’s been an influence recently. we can’t help our curiosity of where the lyrics stem from. also, it’s all a respectable conversation when it comes to these topics.

She literally has a yellow Narcotics Anonymous tag on her keychain which I think we established is 9 months clean.
 
Courtney Love's comments on her latest poem about Bellevue seem to be a reference to a rehab place. I think that there is even an argument to be made that that poem is about alcohol or drugs, rather than a person.
 
The specifics of what she takes/took, and when, and why, are her business, but it's very clear from her music and comments that she's had several relapses.

Why is everyone so obsessed about NFR topping UV? The way I see it they are two different styles of work from two very different times in her career. Where is that comparison coming from?
 
I get that everyone has a favourite album, but the only correct favourite album is Honeymoon.

pls no collabs honestly. LFL was saturated in collabs and it only served to weaken the album overall.
 
I'm really excited to hear what influence Jack Antonoff has. Aim and Ignite is such a great album, maybe one of the best indie pop/rock releases of the era.

This ain't the lfl post discussion thread but y'all are getting way out of hand calling LFL her Britney Jean or MDNA. LFL isn't as good as her other albums, but it still served up some gorgeous songs. The problem lies in the lack of cohesiveness and questionable production choices on some of the songs (not all). LFL is a cute album. It served up some iconic songs like Heroin, Cherry, Get Free, 13 Beaches, etc. It is not her "Britney Jean" or "MDNA", cause those albums were just full on EDM x Pop messes.

It feels like a stream of consciousness to me. She first considers the fleeting happiness in her life that lessened upon finding fame and then expands to the greater degradation of American culture as a whole. It's a pretty brilliant song, lyrically.
