She's well known as a nut job by now. I can't ever take her seriously lmao, and neither does the industry anymore. She's talented as a singer/rapper but after her countless controversies and erratic behaviour for years, her reputation precedes her now.

I'm sure it'll be a lovely little time! I do this quite often myself, except it's summertime here and well each season has its own beauty. I guess it made me feel happy to be reminded that I'm not the only one who does just this Nothing like a scenic time with scenic soundtracks.

Agreed! It drives me crazy how people use mental health as a shield for being a terrible person.

I'm about to go for a ride on my bike while listening to this... it's a gorgeous winter afternoon so I'm pretty excited. There are lots and lots of trees (especially pine trees!) where I live. <3

lol the body shaming does not just stretch to lana. everyone who sees the shit azealia (and others) are saying also feel affected. how many people have a body like lana? thousands? millions?

people on here and twitter have already said that they feel personally uncomfortable from all the body shaming. this whole thing isnt just about what is affecting lana, thats the issue.

she is crazy talented, but the excuses for her actions are bullshit lmao. she has no remorse for anything, when has she ever apologized for the shit she says? she's outspokenly transphobic and xenophobic. she is obsessed with lana. she been bringing her up for 2 years now all while lana hasnt said shit to her. its embarrassing.

Azealia, yet again, grasping at straws for attention and relevance the best way the only way she knows how.

Too relatable. If there's a snippet or leak somewhere out there, I always go dive for it cause I'm an impatient weak bitch. I hope this time that no or barely any info gets out so that upon the first listening I can happily go flying from my chair too

I'm so excited for Chemtrails over the Countryclub...don't feel ready to get some news but god damn it, I want some news so bad!!! We don't have a clue what this album sounds like and aah   Destroy me, Lana, with this album....snatch my wig into another universe....trying to keep my expectations low but when I think about this album I got so many ideas how it could sound like and some of you had so many amazing ideas for the sound, for the cover art and so on!!!

After VBBOTG I think Lana is really on fire again...the poetry, the background music, all the different versions Cd's, Vinyl, etc...

She had a writer's block after LFL and I think with Norman she got her inspiration back and Norman is a great album and I hope and I'm sure that Lana will not disappoint us with COCC...and bitch I'm kinda scared...okay maybe not scared ....but I'm curious about the lyrics especially after the mothers day post, Violet bent backward   and the IG drama back in May......and yeah I'm so curious what she has to say about the relationship and break up with Sean

The Insider said that LMLYLAW sounds like Fine China with a strong NFR! touch......sounds promising to me and I'm looking forward to listen to it but I hope we get some songs with a more surfier sound, E-guitar, some dark sexy tracks...but however I think we don't get NFR! 2.0
I can see that the earlier songs have a Norman sound (LMLYLAW is from October so I'm sure it's one of the earlier songs) and that she shifted into another sound direction throughout the album making

Pretty sure we will get something at the beginning of August...maybe a cryptic post again or even the cover, tracklist, lead single or a snippet, maybe the pre-order

I'm dying to see the tracklist this time. We have some (supposed) song titles:
Let Me Love You Like A Woman
    Chemtrails over the Countryclub
    Tulsa Jesus Freak
    White Hot Forever
    Grenadine Quarantine
If this is the end-I want a boyfriend

I actually really like the titles so far and they seem interesting

I'm not not not not ready for this album...really hoping that it's coming in September and that we don't get too much snippets or only 1 single

I love Norman but at the first listening we already knew half of the album

Still remember my first LFL listening...man it was amazing (even though it's my least fave ) and the number of times were I was screaming and flying  from the chair..13 Beaches, Cherry, In my Feelings, When the World was at war..., Heroin & Get Free ...whew at my first listening those songs floored me and wow never forget that especially 13 Beaches....that was an out of body experience... My first listening to BTD, UV, and HM was kinda messy+not in the tracklist order, and I wish I could listen to those albums again for the first time....that would be amazing

Love Norman but I just want to listen to a Lana album again without knowing half of the record and be surprised and flying from the chair like half of the time...
I  mean I could have avoid the snippets and singles but I'm impatient and have not that much power to resist to snippets or singles

I did my own playlist blending Norman and Violet together, as several songs do fit well thematically. It’s not perfect, but I’m pretty happy with this order, after making several adjustments.

Has this person ever been in literature class??? I don't know where they got that idea that a poet should write about the world. Like she hasn't done that before in her music. Who ever wrote that review should find better arguments. It just seems like a joke and they just totally misunderstood the project. They can dislike it but at least try to write something that actually makes sense or go more in depth.

The irony of a critic writing about the poet's job being telling people not just about themselves, but the world too, and then failing to see that Lana did *just that*. I am not an american, but I, too, am exhausted from viewing my life as a fulfilment of a social or professional role only, and wonder what is its meaning beyond that - and dabbling in astrology and mythology and sort of earthy metaphysics of everyday to counterbalance the invasive presence of late stage capitalism in my personal life. Also, ever since the let's call them center left middle class circles discovered socialist theory the spaces I occupy have become insufferable. Not them "educating" a minority on the injusticies of the system we live in. It feels like they are doing to allyship what they did to feminism... There is so much money to be made in teaching people how to be "better allies" or, you know, "their gorgeous most unique selves"... So, yeah, I, too, am slowly gravitating to what feels like a radical notion of believing in the good in me, in trusting my self, in being able to see someone else's humanity without outside input and control, and arriving at my own conclusions. And I'm not even touching on the dark matters Lana explored in "Violet..." - which are her personal experiences, but, once again, they resonate with so many people...
Then again, the way this critic drops "camp" and "satire" and "americana" left and right in her review reads like she first learned about camp in relation to last year's MET gala, and first learned about Lana in relation to NFR!'s universal critical acclaim.

There goes my first post (hi everyone!), and I really planned to write a detailed and thought-out review of "Violet..." for it, but eh not in this fandom

I just think that since they didn't give her a grammy for the renown and highly praised album NFR, choosing instead to favour trendy teen music over it, that it'll never happen. It is what it is - at the end of the day, this one particular award show doesn't define her success and never will.

yes, it was filmed by chuck and is (apparently) incredibly boring. i haven’t seen it myself but it’s really just her sitting under a tree and lip syncing.

I loved Chuck's videos for the songs on NFR so I hope someday we see this! They really captured Lana's essence in its rawest form and their simplicity is quite beautiful.
California is one of my favourite songs of all time so it would be cool to have a visual for it!
