I love both so muchhh. However, the strength of the chorus vocals in HIAB + the darker lyrics just kinda steal me away.

Actually there will be just a video, no music on it, and she will say too "Make your own album!". Then she will become the most critically acclaimed artist of all times and will be rewarded with all the existent awards on earth. The culture is lit!

Maaaaate, art is subjective. No one here is solely criticising Lana's work because it's fun, it's being criticised because people have differing tastes and a high standard of what she is able to achieve as an artist. If you blindly praise everything and don't discern between what is quality and what isn't, all you're doing is eroding away your integrity and you'll have no credibility to stand on when you praise something that is an actual accomplishment. Explaining she produced a low quality product because she got dumped and didn't feel like putting any effort into the video is excusing a level of laziness that I don't want to see from my favourite artist. This is reflected by the lack of fanfare, the video view count being very low, and the general consensus of users on Lanaboards, the most wonderful place in all the world where every day is magical. 
 
The Greatness/FIILY has a similar vibe of nothingness but it is beautifully shot and produced - it has variation in locations, tonal changes and facial expressions gradually changing, and rose tinted nostalgia for the past and intertextual references from her back catalogue. Whereas the latest trio seem unrelated and made from footage that now encompasses FIVE music videos . . . happy to chat more about it in the appropriate release thread!
 
Bringing it back to LDR7, yeah, we are laughing a bit but yeah, I really hope the quality lifts back. I know Lana was taken aback to hear that her fans still wanted high quality videos, but the images she creates really make a big impact. When I was directing an actress I was super excited that NFR was coming out and we chatted at length - she said she refers to Blue Jeans MV as a stimulus for so many of her powerful characters and it honestly made me so happy to hear that that impact has lived on. 

Hopefully whoever stole Chucks work re-edits it and sends it back x

I'm also hoping that this album is like burnt norton and has music in the background, sound effects etc. I'm really looking forward to it, I love listening to her speak. 

tbh i think this is a really cute idea, especially the charity aspect but yeah she should double check all the things with the donations and the right price. 
but this spoken word album by lana makes much more sense for me than a poetry book by her.

I wonder if she’s gonna release it physically. A simple cardboard sleeve and disc shouldn’t be too expensive I imagine. Kinda like what Melanie Martinez did for her Dollhouse EP. She could do it as a limited run kinda thing..,

Wow, this. I want to be proud of being the devoted Lana fan that I am but it's hard. I'd feel embarrassed to talk about how much I love her and how much her work has inspired me and made me happy but also having to explain that she did a really mediocre song with Ariana & Miley and having to clarify that I was really disappointed in her. And although my heart belongs to some of her earlier works, I still love what she has in her main discography and I don't want some of her more questionable choices to overshadow that. I feel like she isn't taking herself seriously, and it's not in a good way either. 

personally, if this was my own i'd be really embarrassed to release it. also, i love lana but i want stuff that i can show my friends, like "hey, look at this cool music video/song/concert clip!" because i want to share her stuff and why i love it but it is getting increasingly harder to not cringe as i play her new music to my friends. like man, some of it is good, but then she just ruins it with a long, anxiety-inducing outro or a line like "goddamn man child". imagine if you see your favorite artist in concert looking on her phone for the lyrics or asking Win fucking Edwards what the lyrics are. i want to be proud of being a lana stan, but it's like i have to grasp onto straws to defend her low-quality, low-effort, low-calorie work.

Just reading some of your comments and thinking... Her level of mediocrity has gone so far that, if she doesn't make a 180º turn on that in her next projects, whatever they end up being, very few of us will remain being interested about her or her output. I'm personally very frustrated about how she shows under zero responsibility for the things she releases or the messages she is legitimating (absolutely agree with the ones here complaining about the lack of ethnical/racial perspective on the thing with the "cops"). She's starting to cross the thin border between "fresh out of fucks forever" and being absolutely uninteresting, or even disgusting.

Well, I haven't read all the drama but I find all the 3 parts of the video, especially Bartender, extremelly embarrassing. Like, real white girl trash.
