How nonchalantly she told us the release date. True legend

"one gun on the table / headshot if you're able" - there are two options for these lines, in my opinion:

    a) challenging him to "man up"
    b) the gun symbolizes a tool to exit the relationship

Then I’m sorry! Didn’t know this rule was applied to other threads than Lana‘s

Can a mod delete my post? Thank you a lot

Speaking of the Cinamon Girl outro...Always hear her saying Topanga before the beat kicks in..at 4:24...haven't seen that people talked about it either. But I think that it makes the album more cohesive somehow. The CG outro has some driving/wind noises. Maybe she is on her way to Topanga or drives around in Topanga and then she starts to think about the people that disappeared from her life. Like Joe and that Jim guy. Wasn't Cinnamon Girl about Joe as well? But yeah then she said that she would pick him up if this one specific person would come back to California (we all know that she means Barrie). And then she reminds herself that she (& Barrie)  did it all because they were just that good and when they were at Topanga it always was getting hot (Topanga is hot tonight/I'm taking off my bathing suit). But then her mind comes back to reality...she faces the greatest loss...she is burned out and misses doing nothing the most of all and L.A/California was in flames, Kanye West isn't the Kanye West Lana used to know (e.g he is pro-Trump now ).

when I joined lanaboards I was very surprised by how many gay men there seemed to be in the fanbase. I was expecting mostly young girls who romanticize Lolita or say they have daddy issues, but I really like how many gay guys are here. I feel very comfortable around gay men, I feel safe here

I only partly agree. There are many LGBTQ fans, but definitely not the majority. The people I know who listen to her music are 90% straight men or women. She is appreciated for her quality music and especially her angelic voice.

And to be honest, I'm actually glad that she does not focus on a certain group, like Gaga did back then, which means she is open to a larger audience in general.

I understand this too - and the reverse also; just because I'm gay doesn't mean I'm instantly a fan of Marina, L. Gaga, Kesha etc (I like songs from each but overall don't consider myself a fan).

This is a forum. I am not generalising, I'm asking why people personally experience this.

Great, yes you're totally right. I suppose I should rephrase some of the things I first posted - I suppose I am asking two questions:
Why do fans (gay or otherwise) personally enjoy Lana del Rey? Why is the stereotype of a Lana del Rey fan a gay male? See below for examples:

Different tastes, I guess. It‘s a beautiful song, but I am barely in the mood to listen to it

Interesting! BPBP is one of the few songs I return to every time I play LFL

Serene Queen has a slight eerie-ness to it which may help us get a clearer sense of what the original direction of  Lust for Life was.

Based on what 13 Beaches is now/what Something Real was, as well as the horror-sounding strings present in the Love demo that leaked recently,
I think the original album meshed three sounds: vintage horror movie soundtrack strings/soundscape under heavy beats, ambient "spacey" music, and acoustic songs.
^ The presumed original title track, The Next Best American Record, seems to contain all three of those elements, further implying that it was the original namesake of LFL.
I believe a tracklist at one point - likely 2016 - maybe looked like this (based on the timeline of LFL songs)

    1. Young and in Love (Love Demo)
    2. The Next Best American Record - Demo from 2016
    3. Something Real (13 Beaches Demo)
    4. Hail Mary (if that song is legit, if not then discard this)
    5. Serene Queen
    6. Groupie Love feat. A$AP Rocky (as this song was done with Rocky in 2016, it is part of the "original LFL")
    7. Lust for Life - Demo
    8. Beautiful People (potentially the way we hear it now on LFL, just without Stevie Nicks)
    9. Tomorrow Never Came (solo acoustic demo)
    10. Yosemite
    11. Heroin
    12. Get Free (maybe "Malibu" if it wasn't deleted at this point)

"It hurts to love you but I still love you..."  I listened to this song in Summer 2018 a lot..a few months after my brother passed away. This was a time where the song really hits hard....because this line described exactly what I was feeling (and still feel).  One of the best songs on LFL if not the best song ...
