You know what sucks? I don't even know what Innamoramento means! Want to explain it to me? I'm listening to the old records first, so I would love to get the feel of the lyrics. I really like what I've seen by far - Desechantee and XXL are great (each in their own way). I also love Optimistique Moi but I get the lyrics very vaguely, I'm not entirely sure that I truly understand what they are supposed to be about. Every time I read those butchered translations, I end up more confused than I was before. For example, what is the meaning of Fuck them All? Is this some kind of feminist manifesto? I have no idea. I find it shocking that Mylene has not many English-speaking fans. After all, France is extremely loved and considered fashionable. It would make sense for the French music stars to have worldwide presence, sort of like K-Pop... And yet Mylene is virtually unknown.

I finally got into Mylene's music. I've started with the Les Mots compilation, and later on purchased copies of L'autre, Anamorphosee and Points de Suture. I have also managed a torrent of all her stuff up to Monkey Me, but I prefer to listen to real CDs lately... I still haven't memorized all the songs from the albums mentioned above, so I will wait with listening to the downloaded records. What drives me insane is that there are no English websites about Mylene... I could really use quality song translations. I can run the interviews via Google translate, but the lyrics are not literal enough for automatic translations to make sense. I feel like I miss out on the poetry of Mylene's lyrics when I can only get the rough translation of them (which barely makes any sense). I'm looking forward to watching her live shows and music videos.

I just realized High by the Beach is my absolute least favorite album single (so not counting songs written for movies and the like). God, it's awful. The music video is badass but the song does nothing for me. Not to mention I don't exactly relate to the drug theme in Lana's music and the song does not sound good enough for me to overlook it. Agree. The song is overrated as fuck and has the laziest Nabokov reference ever.

Honeymoon by which I mean the whole record. I'm on Freak at the moment. I want to like the record more than I do, but I already dread 24 Hours... I might skip that one, just as I have just skipped High by the Beach.

I wish that I could get excited about anime again. I still read manga from time to time, as there are plenty of mature and fascinating titles (mostly in the seinen genre), but new anime is such predictable, crude trash. Thanks to incel otakus for ruining the industry. I thought depression made me unable to sit through 20 minutes of cartoon, but Bojack Horseman blew my mind. It turned out that most anime is not up to my standards. I goddamn miss Satoshi Kon. Time to rewatch Paranoia Agent and all the movies.

I will be buying PS4 soon too, can you explain what's the difference between normal PS4 and Pro? Do you have to get Pro to play some games?

Seen the trailer of this move before The Island of Dogs and felt that it was a The Fault in Our Stars levels of teenage cringe, You would not catch me dead watching this, but at the same, I'm very happy that LGBT youth has movies centering on their issues (in which characters presumably don't die?). Heteros got plenty of cringey teenage love stories, now it's time for The Gays.

Does the Kristijan Magic remix of Blossom count? Because I fucking love it. What you don't tell no-one you can tell me always makes me want to cry. I also adore the fanmade music video using Funny Face with Audrey Hepburn. Really suits the dreamy and fairytale sound of the song. So divine.

I live for her ending Titanic Sinclair and the Poppy project. Can't wait for her to get her life back and finally release music. I wonder if Poppy is abused too. A lot of people say she's complacent in the Mars abuse. Hard for me to sympathise with her, but at the same time I'm worried Titanic is horrible to her too. No woman deserves abuse.

Agree all the way. Getting through Honeymoon in one go was a struggle for me and I doubt I have succeeded more than once. People are often harping on Lana that she makes boring records. I disagree completely.... except in this particular case. I enjoy Honeymoon. It's not my fave, but it's an improvement after Honeymoon. BTD and UV are still Lana's masterpieces (in different ways).

Really curious what do you consider Lana's worst. Probably L4L? Am I right? TBH I wish I could enjoy Honeymoon, but it's such an uninspired snoozefest. A sonical wasteland for my ears.

24 Hours and songs like it are the reason why Honeymoon is Lana's worst album. In my feefies feelings does the call out thing much better and at least it's fun. I pretend it does not exist (though Freak is ok and Religion has great lyrics).

Came here to post it! For some reason I thought it's a single cover... I wonder when did she drop Hilbilly noir. Maybe she decided this idea is too similar to Natural Born Losers? She's goddamn lucky to have her fave artist (Risa Mehmet) design record cover for her. I like the art, though the neck is kind of wonky (unless it's meant to be a beaheaded Barbie doll, the 90's ones had exactly the same thick necks). The pug is super cute and I dig the atmosphere of the picture. I must say I enjoy Risa's art in general. Reminds me of Mark Ryden. Super excited for the record!

That's not really difficult though... Amnesty is such a rehash. Half of the songs feel more like filler interludes rather than pieces on their own right. I only like 3-4 songs out of it.

Those song lyrics are so new age-magick-kitschy. I'm not exactly a fan of the song, but the chorus is lovely. Very hopeful and inspiring. The rainbow metaphor is quite smart. I hope people haven't interpreted it in an anti-gay way I'm glad that Amy and Whitney got cut out cause I could see people taking that as Lana comparing herself, riding coattails and hapring on her for that reason.

Not to sound dramatic, but this movie helped me get through some tough months last year. I wish more people knew about it, though I suppose not everyone would be into how it combines the darkest side of life and childish innocence. I really hope she visits Poland then! I feel so bad about not being to the one Crystal Castles gig a few years back (I haven't listened to them at the point). Fingers crossed! It hurts me how many of my fave artists I will never see cause they are not popular enough here...

That's heartbreaking. We've lost so many legends last two years. I'm not even surprised. I think I'll finally watch The Theory of Everything to honor his memory.

Such a shame, not only the movie was a hot mess and a huge wasted opportunity but we could not even get Lana's song written for it...
