I came here to say this too! It sounds A LOT like Without You. I think it's my favourite song for now. Remember when Taylor 'stole' the Ride video? lol1989 is the first Taylor Swift record I gave a shot, since everyone on Sputnikmusic were praising it. It's cool, but feels a bit generic. Like it could be released by any other current pop singer. I'm gonna listen to Taylor's older records, probably gonna like them a lot more I LOVE how überfemme they are, especially with the fairytale themes!

It doesn't matter if they're beautiful or not.... it's about societal implications of things, which Lana loves to be completely oblivious of. I'm on a diet, because I wanna be skinny. You can say that I'm doing this for sake of beauty. But when you look deeper, you'll realize that it's beautiful only because that's what society values at the moment. And all of this is true. Honestly, there's nothing cheaper than heterosexual girls (dunno about Chuck, but Lana... yeah) kissing each other for attention or ~art~. I remember girls at my highschool doing this, lol. It's sort of how dudes hate gays, but love lesbian porn (what gross people). It's not original, and not even shocking.

Lana Del Rey to be covered in American Horror Story
Lirazel replied to Dopeanddiamonds's topic in Latest News
I'm so disappointed -
I wanted to like her so much when I found out about her by Sputnikmusic, but her songs/music videos are so cheesy and annoying. Heard Ice and Toes and hated them. I think that her acoustic albums are better, though

You're one of those people who believe in Illuminati Monarch Mind Control?

Lol at first I thought it's thread on those crazy girls:

I love the girl who killed herself. Can relate a lot to her. I need to read the novel - how different is it from the movie?

He used to call me D.N, that stood for DEATH NOTE

Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

I don't expect anyone to have an answer to this question, but I really wonder if Lana has an favourite Elvis Presley record. probably a greatest hits one -
Lana Del Rey to be covered in American Horror Story

But is Jessica Lange the Lana Banana character people say is based on LDR -
I'm a writer too, and I know what you mean. I don't get it when people say that Lana is a bad lyricist - IMHO at worst, she's a mediocre one, I personally love most of her work. There are different kinds of 'good' lyrics. I adore Lana's for how she lets the listener visit her personal world. This is what makes her amazing. I think that in my case it was Born to Die! The lyrics, the video, the sound... perfect beginning of the album. Just iconic. Also, For K Part 2. I loved the acoustic moodiness. Little Girls hit me hard.

what do you mean it isn't?!

I often forget Bel Air even exists...

Could you PM me too? Please <3

When did this happen? Lol at Lana being yet again completely oblivious to societal implications and biases of things she does. Nothing like appropriating lesbian kisses for attention.. Not saying that she has to be feminist, but it would REALLY help her as a person and an artist to gain some social awareness. You can't pretend that you live in the galaxy when you're a product of society.

Ultraviolence - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
Lirazel replied to lflflflflflflflflflf's topic in Post-Release Threads
I don't know about that. Florida Kilos barely belongs to the record, that's the problem. I don't compare it to the rest of Ultraviolence. It's just a tiny bonus for fans of upbeat Lana songs. -
I love this article!!!! News on future record (yesss), beautiful words on Kurt Cobain, some new (?) inspirations revealed.... And I like her last words - finally she stopped whining. I get depression, but her whole "I want to die" act looked really fake, like she was trying to hard to became the female Kurt Cobain. I find the tv filter almost genius. It reminds me of Lana's 'roots' - the home-made music videos.

I really like Florida Kilos, even though I'm strictly against drugs. Lana's persona in this song seems as crazy as ever. Very Lizzy Grant. @@leaked_version, I agree with you wholly on your stance towards UV and this era in general -
I'VE SEEN BRITNEY LIVE TODAY! I haven't been lucky enough to get my record signed, but I'm super happy anyway! Britney is flawless, it was so kind of her to take her time with fans <3 VIDEOS! Back to the record question... Oh, I love Blackout! I have mixed feelings towards Circus, but it will probably grow on me. What do you guys think about Femme Fatale? Because right now, I love it! Yes, that's my thought! Hasn't she mentioned that she would like to do with something more rock sound? That would be great.

Haha, sorry for misunderstanding your words. -
I'm really glad that I've always prefered Lena. I love her answer Sorry to say, but Julia seems to be a horrible human being.

@@PARADIXO, what's your opinion on Showdown and Early Mornin? Because as much as I like ITZ, I find those songs the weak points. I'm really curious, which albums are considered the best by the general Britney fandom (other than Blackout)?

Despite their objective quaIity,I personally find Cruel World and Shades of Cool the least interesting songs on standard-edition Ultraviolence. They just don't grab me.
