this is literally random footage that chuck put together, the butterflies don't mean SHIT lol, she's just talking to the camera stop complaining about  EVERYTHING SHE PUTS OUT, LIKE GOD WE ARE THE ONLY FANBASE WHERE THE HARSHEST AND MOST UNNECESSARY  SHIT COMES FROM THE FANS THEMSELVES i literally dont get why yall keep talking about HIAB when literally that song is probably lana's worst song, not even coachella had the audacity to use cheap slang as "tour lyfe"

Well, I wanted to share all the covers that I made from Lana albums, EPs, songs or fan mixtapes.

Black Beauty: I've made two versions for a fan mixtape with those 2012-2013 unreleased songs.

Lana Del Ray A.K.A. Lizzy Grant: I love this one, I'm so proud of these one it's just so beautiful and yeah I made it with the E.

Honeymoon: I've made again two versions because the photos are just beautiful.

Dark Tropics: It's just a remake of the original fan mixtape cover.

This Is What Makes Us Girls: I was obsessed with the song and the demos, this was for a EP I made with the 3 demos, the final version and the ALTO remix (really cool remix tho). I also have made an orange and pink color version, but I've lost them

I hope you like them, I'll be doing more  Also feel free to use any of these covers if you want

I like L4L but it's nowhere near as good or iconic as BTD or Ultraviolence.
The promo with Lana being a witch was embarrassing, as well as ~casting spells against Trump~.

While it's nice that Lana shown a different side of her, I don't want her to dabble into politics no more. I just want into step into the melancholy and glamour world of hers.

    The title is truly...something
Aside from that, the song sounds nice and I am very excited about new Lana releases.
I assume those two singles are not connected to the new album, but I am so ready for the next era...

With all due respect, I disagree. It was too tumblresque and felt too removed from the record and Lanas usual style.
Please no more of this crap.

I also think that Lana looks so old on the L4L cover... Its so bad though I love the vintage aesthetic, but a better photo could be chosen.

If you never played it, I stRONglY recommend Night In The Woods. It's available on a shit ton of platforms and it's one of the best games I've ever played. The story is fantastic, the characters very lovable and the art style INCREDIBLE. The soundtrack is one of the best things. Basically it's a point and click adventure with different possible endings. The vibe is just... So peculiarly good. You play as Mae, a highschool drop out with a dark story back in her home small countryside town. Again (and perhaps because it's exactly the way my sister thinks and act and I'm very close to her but not only), this is by far one of the best games I've ever played. If you give it a go please do tell me what you think of it! I'm currently replaying it

Just listen to the menu soundtrack, the first track. SOOOOO GOOD

I was listening to American today, driving back home. The opening lines reminded me of my grandparents house, and the home in the Shades of Cool video, with the rock wall, the wooden overtones, the tiled floors and white fur rug and wide ceiling to floor windows. The smell of cigarette smokes. I'd always imagine it back to when the song starts

Play house, put your favorite record on
get down, get your crystal method on
You were like tall, tan, driving round the city
flirting with the girls cause you're so pretty

Yes yes yes. Big Eyes doesn't get anywhere near as much appreciation as it should. Such a gorgeous song, sonically and lyrically. The way she paints such a vivid picture in the verses. Masterpiece.

    relatable legend

God Knows I Tried as a whole makes me teary eyed, especially when she sings:
    God knows I live
    God knows I died
    God knows I begged
    Begged, borrowed and cried
    God knows I loved
    God knows I lied
    God knows I lost
    God gave me life
    And God knows I tried

For when you feel like everything you've done and achieved was in vain, here she comes with this song that tells you ''you gave your best, you are here because of your own effort, don't be so hard on yourself'' and comes with the rather triumphant:

    So let there be light
    Let there be light
    Light up my life

Plus the instrumental just adds so much to the lyrics, the very desert/western elements, like the song that plays when the cowboy is ready to leave by riding into the sunset, symbolizing that feeling of self-realization, i love it.

I find "Sad Girl" to be one of Lana's masterpiece, tbh.

"He's got the fire and he walks with fame
He's got the fire and he talks with fame
His Bonnie on the side, Bonnie on the side
    Makes me so sad, girl
His money on the side, money on the side
    Makes me so sad, girl"

I know the girl likes some Lynch ("Blue Velvet" and such) -- and I can't help but think "fire and he walks" is a reference to Twin Peaks, and the trumpets at the end of the second verse are the same ones that are used in Lynch's Mulholland Drive from 2001. Laura Palmer is a total Lana character, that's for sure.

But the reason this song is fantastic is because it sounds like a lounge song straight from hell - and the euphoria of these words over the mandarins and all the reverb for the bridge is GOAT level shit. I love the self-awareness to her being a "sad girl", but the way she's pushing the narrative that it's all sincere. The entire album seems to be about her transition into fame - that bridge from New York to California (Mulholland Drive is about going to California for fame, after all) - and it works so well, especially as the centerpiece of Ultraviolence. I'd argue the album is very much a horror one, and I may be the only who thinks it, but I think the Jim Jones/Manson cult aesthetic she was going for with the "Ultraviolence" (but it's "Freak"now) makes this song stand out even more. It's like she connecting the fame to actually becoming a cult leader. But here, it's her basking away in what fame entails for her, and whether she's going to find happiness in it finally.

And then Lust for Life showed us she might not have found "happiness", but she's definitely figured life out, in some capacity - to some extent - for herself. By being a cult leader, but also still being that cult follower ("Coachella"/Father John Misty, as an example, with the "Freak" video).

Also gotta love the Bonnie and Clyde/bonnie flower interchanging there. Whichever she meant, works. I think she was aware of the double (she does it often), as "on the side" rhymes with and helps us recall the movie's title.
