This era can stay messy as hell as long as the songs stay being this incredible.
 
I feel bad for complaining since these three songs were just teasers given to us. We’re usually complaining that she keeps us in the dark and rarely teases any songs before album releases.

Idk for yall but I'm unbelievably relieved for Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass. If it is this kind of prose poems I know she can write then I'm def buying a thousand and leaving one behind me when I walk as if I'm in Hop-o'-My-Thumb

First y'all say that all the snippets sound the same and you're all tired of piano ballads. Then, y'all say that the album is shaping to be an incohesive mess like LFL just because she's doing a collab with MGK. Honestly I've been here for like two weeks and I'm already tired of y'all whining about the same things over and over again without even listening to the damn record!!!!!!!!! To the people who have been here for years now, how can you handle all of this? Because honestly this is exhausting.

Or she can continue making good music and not give two fucks about a “poor” chart performance. The woman has made millions and BTD is still charting. She’s just fine.

Lana has just announced via Instagram & Twitter that she will be releasing two new songs to close out the summer. The first is titled ‘Mariners Apartment Complex’ and will be released next week!
 



It appears the tracks will be produced by Jack Antonoff and engineered by Laura Sisk, as Lana tagged them in her Instagram post.

These are some of the most spot on descriptions of Lana I've ever seen! He doesn't gloss over the fact that she's making up sh*t, but he also sees that it's exactly the kind of eccentricity that makes her so interesting. He genuinely appreciates her for the kind of artist she is.
 
I wish more journalists could see what he sees. Would have spared the world (and Lana) for a lot of unnecessary think pieces
