Hey are any of you other Lana fans also Joni fans? If there’s already a topic for this, I couldn’t find it so I’m sorry in advance.
 
I love love love Joni Mitchell just as much as I love Lana. In fact, Lana always gave me a strong “modern Joni” vibes which is one of the things that drew me to her. The things I love about Lana are largely the same things I love about Joni so I’m hoping other people feel that too.
 
I feel like Joni Mitchell is probably one of the few musical geniuses of the 20th century. Sometimes I can’t even put it into words, sorry. Her experimentation in her art is severely underrated. Everything about her music: her voice, her words, her instrumentation, were always just so breathtakingly beautiful.
 
So any Joni fans out there? Or maybe I just converted a few of you?
 
What are you favourite Joni albums?
They’re all so different and beautiful in their own ways, so it’s hard for me to choose, but mine’s probably The Hissing of Summer Lawns. Anyone who hasn’t listened to that probably wouldn’t regret it, especially Lana fans.
 
Anyway, I’d love to find other Lana fans who love Joni to talk to since they’re two of my favourites.

I don't see a problem with this lol. she's been coming on stage at Nikkis shows for a while. ppl should just be grateful she's willing to perform live in any capacity right now

If anything she's one of the most grounded/normal person Lana hangs out with. She seems chill. 

Yeah, I was just surprised to see the (Nikki) Lane hate coming from nowhere. (at least, to me, I don't see a reason to dislike her or her friendship with Lana)

People come on here everyday to spew their hatred on Lana, under the guise of "it's a discussion board, I'm allowed to say what I want", which is fair and true—not going to deny that, it's their right to share their thoughts, opinions & feelings. It's just funny to me how much time people spend talking shit about her. 

I get that country, or Nikki's music/voice or whatever, isn't everyone's cup of tea, that's fair, but why hate on Lana doing normal things with her friends? 

Lana sounds so good here  Also, I still find the Nikki Lana hatred weird as hell. Some of you act like she's holding a gun to Lana's head and forcing her to enjoy country music

I love that Lana gets to fulfill her quiet-life-of-a-lounge-singer dreams through her friend, it’s cool be able to play small venues at all like that to remind you of where you started  not every big star would logistically or safely be able to do that 

So cool she can just show up in random bars and do secret shows after playing to 100,000s of people around the world. Totally designing the life she wants. 
 
Now just do secret solo shows at some NYC bars 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I think it’s going to be a mixed bag. Jack will produce a couple of songs, hopefully Mike will be back for something bigger than WFWF. Drew Erickson makes a lot of sense. Maybe Emile could be back? 

I really hope it's gonna mainly be Mike Dean but I feel like Drew Erickson's probs gonna be the main producer

She seems to be a true healthy friend, and I’m glad to see lana found another artist friend but in a slightly differently avenue so there’s not much competition bornrivalry there just good vibes

this just in (i heard from a vErY gOoD sOuRcE) that lAnA dEl rEy is going cOuNtRy & WeStErN full time. Watercolor eyes is her last lana song. From now on she will be one part of Nikki, May and The Tambourine Jamboree. They will be touring the south and west exclusively and only releasing compilation albums. Congrats to the ladies and can't wait to buy my ticket when they come to Melbourne
