Great song, boring iMovie video per usual

I am not against amateuristic looking videos - cheapness can also look great. But was it really impossible to create a better music video than the actual one for the same amount of money? Video Games video doesn't cost anything, but is really interesting.

Yeah. So sad... She couldn't be more ''inde'' than that lol. But it's strange that her managers and label allow her to release such an amateuristic looking video where same images are even shown twice. This choice definitely seems a kind of sabotage. 

I am shocked and incredibly sad. The YouTube video for Mariners Apartment Complex will hardly exceed one million views in 24 hours... How is that possible? Do you have any explanation? Indeed, Lana has never been Adele or Taylor Swift, but her video views last year with Love or Lust For Life were pretty decent though. Even Meghan Trainor and Floptina did have better results!

i am a huge fan of long songs and progressive music (i myself am working on a really long album lol) but venice bitch has such a sweet and catchy melody. i want people to get hyped for this and the length will def be a turn off for the GP.
 
not that it's what i care the most, obviously. i prefer quality. but at the same time i always want lana to do good commercially

Video Games video is a classic. Lana was the one who pieced it together. Maybe Lana should go back to doing that instead of Chuck.

Didn't the Fader already published the 18th as Venice Bitch's release date? I hope it's really a mini-EP, but yeah - probably just MAC and VB: ANd I seriously hope it's got another cover, but I guess it will be the same terribly unflattering picture aswell, since MAC does already feature the Venice Bitch shirt - plus it's not unusual for not-lead-singles to have the same artwork as the release they stem from.
 
I hope Venice Bitch will either have a bit of a sexy, mysterious Mermaid Motel vibe or a moody tone a la Money Power Glory/ FMWUTTT

I just want lana to really give a shit about visuals again because it's been severely lacking, like visuals help so MUCH with rlly conveying a feel or theme. I mean this is Lana Del Rey she was the queen of looks! She did MAC so dirty with that video and the single cover...   with the next single "Venice Bitch" I wanna see her mug fucking beat for every god with long ass fake red talon nails and a huge ass bouffant towering to the heavens like GIVE me Venice, bitch

Mariners got added to a "pop up" playlist on Spotify which looks decently popular, it's no today's top hits but it is what it is. Stream it from the playlist to have it move up in positions y'all

However, this is 100% her decision. She said there isn't really a concept or artistic purpose (or something like that) for this album... it's just a collection of tracks she made throughout this past year. It'll be beautiful though.

I think that what's so fascinating and appealing in VG vid is that it's purely, entirely curated and directed by Lana herself, she chose exactly what scenes would happen, how they would happen, when they would happen, she made herself look hot in her own eyes and that's what mattered, and she's alone, and she does it for herself, so she has no point to prove to anyone so she can be entirely herself without creating a persona other than the one she chooses to be in her own eyes.

I’m glad we didn’t get the Cherry video after all, since she wanted to do it herself with Chuck (for the record, I am not a Chuck hater, I love her pictures for the records and her previous work, but that setting is so wrong)

some friends of mine that are lana stans (not hard stans or aren't into social media) didn't even knew that she was releasing a song lmaoo im doing promo for this bitch for FREE

I think it's because MAC isn't the lead single and I don't think a release for it was planned... Lana said herself that she didn't expect the song to be played on radio and that she just put it out for herself, so she probably saw an opportunity with the scrapped HIAB music video and made us a little visual. I'm expecting the real music videos to begin with Venice Bitch.

something that does bother me though is that she couldn't take one day and shoot a new video for MAC? did she really have to reuse HIAB's visuals? id be happy with just a simple and original video

MAC is more like a vanity release and notreally meant to be a big single or the introduction to a new era. I'm not even sure if it will actually be on the album or if it's just from the same sessions. Lana herself said she was suprised it's on the radio.
Love and Summer Bummer were singles from a promoted record, one featured a rapper with his own dedicated fanbase. Of course they got more views

such bad views... summer bummer had like 5 mil in the first day without a video
