Angel of Darkness will forever upset me. I loved it as a kid and had no idea it was massively hated. As an adult I totally get it, and I wish they had been given the time to get it right. Cutting out entire parts of the game including a whole level that was incredibly important to the story just to pump out the game in time for the movie was the worst possible thing they could do. This is the biggest missed opportunity in gaming imo because the music is amazing, the story is amazing, the ambiance is amazing, the concept art is amazing, everything is amazing, they just had to literally put out a 1/2 completed product. It’s my biggest fantasy that they would remake this game, and do it right with a fully fleshed out leveling system, the area they cut out (German castle where u get that random artifact that pops up in your inventory when you get to Prague), and smooth controls. I know it will never happen since it was such a massive failure but I feel like the team making the game were so shortchanged.

I’m so happy to see so many rad things happening for her!! This is still my AOTY, not a skip in sight.

I don’t usually have Lana dreams but last night I dreamt I heard the whole Rockefeller song, and let me tell you, mama was screeching and wailing unpleasantly in my brain’s made up version. Like it started all soft and beautiful, but then she tried to take the entire song up even one octave higher and she sounded totally deranged. I thought to myself “Christ my boyfriend is gonna have a field day with this” (he doesn’t like her). I was very relieved to wake up.

Yeah, it’s addicting. Ultimately it does really sound like the mushroom village version of a club track. Like I can imagine the hollow knight mushrooms getting down to this shit.

I just hope she’s ok, and I hope all the beautiful music she teased forever ago isn’t scrapped because it was about to be her most gorgeous and lush album.

Well the obvious answer is The Room. I’d also throw Freddy Got Fingered, The Twilight Saga, and any new Bruce Willis movie in the ring.

You can start at the beginning and work your way through, I’d say. Debut is a good place to start, but if you really wanna start with a bang I’d say go with Post first, go chronologically, and then hop back to debut when you feel like it. vespertine is my (and many others) favorite it seems.

I like utopia, I think the flutes are gorgeous, and I really think sonically it’s captures the “utopian” sound she was going for excellently. It’s also not accessible melodically or harmonically, there are no tracks to just throw on casually, so I think it doesn’t have as much replay value. Like I can certainly get stoned and put it on as a soundtrack to a beautiful walk or something, but I’m not listening to the tracks individually ever.

Yeah I don’t actually expect new Lana this year, and above all, sales and charting means zilch to me. anyways, I’m really looking forward to this. I’m definitely in the camp of folklore/evermore standom, and I prefer that folkier vibe, but this looks like it’s still gonna be different than straight up pop music so I’m very intrigued.
