I hated red tide because it was so promising at first and I felt like so many characters ended up going nowhere and there was no satisfaction to the conclusion of the story at all. Death Valley was equally as promising and it flopped for me. It was combined maybe my least favorite AHS season. 1984 was great, though. Really enjoyed that one from start to finish. I’ll probably watch the new one but keep my expectations very low.

don’t get me wrong I’m still hyped for the album.

I listened to I’m to blame since the reaction seemed strong and I get it. Definitely left field kinda generic acoustic pop.

I actually quite like it. Wildfire is the best (the dark electric piano and strings are so moody and perfect for this time of year) alongside woe ( popular opinion clearly). I can see myself listening to this a lot. Heaven also top tier. The only ones I think aren’t great are Nike (kind of basic and repetitive) and I enjoy firefly I just think it’s a little too long.

BRB sobbing to Her Mother’s House. Its so gorgeous and the cor Anglais is gliding like BUTTER.

TASTE. suede really is a career highlight. When she comes in with the little sister piano part it’s full on ascension. My faves: bliss, Juarez, suede, Josephine (such a cute little piano song), spring haze, 1000 oceans (cheesy but effective) also shoutout to the live version of concertina that’s stunningly gorgeous:

Angel of Darkness will forever upset me. I loved it as a kid and had no idea it was massively hated. As an adult I totally get it, and I wish they had been given the time to get it right. Cutting out entire parts of the game including a whole level that was incredibly important to the story just to pump out the game in time for the movie was the worst possible thing they could do. This is the biggest missed opportunity in gaming imo because the music is amazing, the story is amazing, the ambiance is amazing, the concept art is amazing, everything is amazing, they just had to literally put out a 1/2 completed product. It’s my biggest fantasy that they would remake this game, and do it right with a fully fleshed out leveling system, the area they cut out (German castle where u get that random artifact that pops up in your inventory when you get to Prague), and smooth controls. I know it will never happen since it was such a massive failure but I feel like the team making the game were so shortchanged.

I’m so happy to see so many rad things happening for her!! This is still my AOTY, not a skip in sight.
