Just discovered her through Petrol Bloom. I’m obsessed. Every song slaps and that voice!!! It sucks this came out just before winter because music screams to be played cruising down the road with the windows down on a hot summer night.

So are they just funky colored regular Oreos or do they have some fucked up flavor??

She’s so rad! Perfect for midnight drives in the chilly autumn!

Give it a few more years

Magdalene is pretty perfect so I’m actually totally down for her to do something pretty different with the next one. The snippet sounds like it slaps but does it move me? Time will tell.

After hearing the whole thing it’s quite good! The second half is weaker than the first though! High, Hate Me, and Bad Karma are a lil meh for me, but I like everything else.

A mess like always.

I listened to the first 5 or 6 tracks and really liked what I heard! Can’t wait to listen more.

"American Standards & Classics" Cover Album - Pre-Pre-Release Thread

It’s not *technically* American at its roots, but it’s been sung enough times it’s become a standard of American singers so I’m gonna throw out “Black is the Color of My True Love’s Hair”. The Nina Simone version is iconic and I’d love to hear a Lana version. (also a wiki search indicates MANY artists have included this song on their American folk song standards records so for all intents and purposes the version of the song we know is considered American) -
Happy Birthday Bjork!! A true musical force! I’m a Vespertine stan but I agree none of her records are bad and each of them is fascinating it it’s own way.

She’s said “I’m sorry for the COCC dilemma and now let me make it up to you by giving you everything you want” -
Pa has been surging but we are still as open as we were over the summer. They issued new stay at home and travel recommendations for our state but nothing is being enforced so I imagine plenty of people are still gonna get together with family for the holiday. I expect post holiday season things will spiral even WORSE so they’ll lock us down again (instead of locking us down for a short finite time now to try and quell things).

Yes Yes YES. I still want Johnny Guitar the more I think about it too. It would suit her so well. (Also to anyone out there that hasn’t seen the Joan Crawford starring “Johnny Guitar” go watch it NOW) -
I really like the song! Definitely a step in a good direction. The sheik/killing gay men lines success was all up to delivery and I think she pulled it off and it’s quite effective! Color me excited for the next record. i actually never really cared for handmade heaven so this is a much better era start for me

Kind of an overdone song, but I’m honestly surprised we don’t already have a Lana version of it, it’s such a “her” song to cover. I’m looking forward to it! Glad this is actually coming to fruition because I was very doubtful at first. -
im so jealous. I saw her for native invader and she did some of my favorite songs (mother, pretty good year, cooling), so it was a great experience as my first Tori show, but if I could go back to any time for a show it would be a Tori show between 1996-1999. She was on fire then. I just don’t know if I’d want it mostly solo or with a full band because she’s great either way. I wish so bad I could have seen her back then.
