  1. how dare marina only get one question...
  2. i wish i could find more remixes that aren't totally EDM and are just complete transformations of the production. it also seems like a lot of remixes are gone from YT. any suggestions? this one is dance-y but i like it:

    Taylor Swift

idg the hate. "end game" is one of the best songs on the album. and "so it goes..." is horribly underrated. LWYMMD, gorgeous, and dress can go
  4. it's always been clear that's it's "harvey" and that "ah, he's" in the written lyrics was just a coverup to avoid liability. sad that it has to ruin the song but i respect that she is willing to retire it in solidarity with those brave women. i NEED a "get free" video but "cherry" would also be great so i'm happy either way.
  5. (they are dating) imagine them making up a song together in the woods like lana did with coachella? the forest would be shook.
  6. for kurt and for amy
  7. omg, i've been WAITING for mtwbt for so long. the chorus was a little awkward, though. i don't understand people crying because she didn't wear a dress. she looks hot af in that mesh top. are there any full videos of white mustang? her dancing looked pretty cute.
  8. in my feelings should be the next single.
  9. any interpretations? what are they trying to say with this song? i'm struggling to make sense of the message. beautiful people with beautiful problems=celebrities? or is she looking through a lens of everyone's problems being "beautiful"?
  10. we are so lucky this era!! lana talking openly about her unreleased songs was something i never expected, but i suppose the reaction to her singing a couple of them live paved the way. she SHOULD be proud of them and they do deserve to be more widely known. i hope she comes through
  11. omfg, why does she tell us shit like this? to torture us? i wouldn't be so proud of making your songs less specific and personal.
  12. i'm a freak ( ) who basically loves everything lana has ever done. with that said: push me down is one i never listen to. ever. i never listen to fake diamond or ghetto baby (that title, UGH) either. in the sun is dumb. that's about it.
  13. it's definitely: isn't life crazy, i said, now that i'm singing with sean?
  14. lol, as if lana would do anything that she didn't want to do at this point. she said it herself in the pitchfork interview, she only cares about her own opinion.
  15. fuck, now that you said it, it's so obvious even without headphones. i wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that lana doesn't record in a sound booth?
  16. has anyone else noticed that the immaculate 13 beaches uses the same chord progression as lies? in the beginning when the chords are playing w/the sound clip, i always want to start singing: liiiiEEEiiies... someone make a mashup!
  17. she has all the time in the world to rehearse new songs. i will never understand why she doesn't. she seems incredibly committed to going into the studio on a regular basis and jamming with her pals for personal side projects, so why can't she prepare for her live shows? she even said she feels weird about performing BTD songs after so many years, so what gives?? i'm so happy with everything else this era but i really thought this aspect would change as well...
  18. i fucking love this song but this part keeps it from being perfect. the layered vocals cut out at different points and don't sound right. i don't understand how she can be so meticulous about the mixing and leave it like that.
  19. i used to be annoyed that lana almost exclusively worked with him, but now i see why. she needs to know that the person helping her bring the songs to life has real respect for her vision and doesn't get in her way. that is such a rare thing to have! the way he gushes about her is very touching.
  20. WTWWAWWKD's chorus gives me tori amos during scarlet's walk era vibes. political kween.
  21. i love lana so much. it's so rare that anyone--much less a woman--gets the kind of control that she has over her music. i used to complain a bit about lana surrounding herself with yes men but now i get it. the music industry fucking sucks for artists like her but she's managed to carve out this niche that will keep her going. i admire that, as someone who gave up on a music career because of all the bullshit that comes with it. i am also psyched to read her answer about UV (the song) because that line has always bothered me. her growth is so apparent and it makes me happy as a fan, and as a feminist tbh, that she has moved past romanticizing abuse and holds her relationships to higher standards now.
  22. i was in such disbelief of the leaked tracklist that it took up until the day she announced it for me to accept it. how can she do this to us? enough people are tortured daily by life is beautiful's existence. lanaboards needs to collectively cast a spell on the new moon for lana to give us those 4 tracks.
  23. majorly disagree. the main reason i prefer the alt version is for that part and it makes me feel like something is missing when it doesn't happen in the album version also, the part around 2:56 leading into lana singing the chorus in a higher octave feels more climatic than in the album version. i'm so glad they accidentally leaked the older version!
  24. groupie love & summer bummer are heavenly. it makes me laugh when people say lana has sold out or lowered herself by featuring rappers. SB is such a classic lana song--a little strange, dripping with atmosphere and sensuality. it's a risk, one that has seemed to turn off a lot of casual fans (judging by fb comments, yikes), but i'm glad she took it anyway. after honeymoon, i wasn't sure she'd ever change it up again. even with the LFL snippets, i almost don't know what to expect from the album. i can't wait to savor every song.
