Arcadia is so CLASSIC LDR. I think it could be next to Video Games, Terrence Loves You, Young and Beautiful, Bel Air. You know... that cinematic LDR sound + LDR original lyrics that made her famous and made us fall in love with her back in the tumblr days. Love it! 

Arcadia sounds like a song from a musical. Like something that could have been done by Andrew Lloyd Webber and I love it. Also this record is very bipolar having both Dealer and Arcadia on it LOL.

okay my loves! it's literally so emotional to be saying goodbye to the other iconic messy Pre-Pre-Release thread, but here we are, officially in pre-release, we made it!! 
 
i can't log into LanaBoards at work for some reason, but i have been lurking and catching up with a lot of posts - i even saw the old thread getting locked right before my very eyes  im so happy people love Arcadia so much. im still not listening until the album drops because i really do want as many surprises and unheard songs as possible (given how many leaked tracks are on there), but this is gonna KILL ME especially since we're not getting the album until the 22nd of October now  the interlude sounds like a SERVEEEEE from all your descriptions btw!! and Arcadia sounds beautiful!!
 
i've literally got £7 in my bank account till next payday, but i just HAD to snap up that gorgeous yellow vinyl (on credit ) - didn't wanna risk it selling out. tomorrow im gonna take a look at which other things i want, but i'll def be picking up a couple of the CD variants!! maybe i'll skip the cassettes this time around, or at least until they're bundled in with a signed litho.... idk. much to consider!! i also see myself picking up the HMV vinyl at some point.
 
this is all just so exciting and im so happy to be finally posting and releasing some of this hype i've had built up for DAYS, i've barely spoken on here bc i've been soooo busy and trying to catch up with everything etc etc etc etc. this really feels like an amazing time to be a Lana fan, truly. comparing this era to the COCC era is like night and day.... this feels like the *true* next era after NFR, she seems so excited and fulfilled by this record, it's absolutely amazing. seeing Lana's excitement is making ME excited! who'd have thought the best possible promo would just be our girl's enthusiasm?? 
 
my fav cover is the blue side profile shot, it's so atmospheric and it feels like it represents the storm before the calm of the standard cover, where she's more grounded and surrounded/protected by her hounds.

Oh wow ! Such an instant classic. 

I understand why she linked it to video games, how the verse has somehow the same cadence.
It start of with those Jazz chords, then it sounds like a national anthem, an American hymn. With those classical stings and the stellar synths and the mariachi horns. Wow !
 
Plus those vocals give me You must Love Me and You'll Never Walk Alone vibes. There's a bit of the vulnerability of White Dress which some Celine Dion-esque vocals I wouldn't expect from her. 
 
Oh Gosh. And that interlude. Morricone on trap beats. Caught me totally of guards with end of the video. With that God bless and fuck off attitude.
 
Not even talking about the video, that starts like a homemade Lana Classic and turns into a stellar Bjork like transformation of her body.
 
I'm gonna need time to process all of that. Don't know how I'm going to feel about it after a few listen but one thing I can say is that it stands out on her discography.

I enjoy the record but the only 2 songs that really wow me are Bells in Santa Fe and I am not a Woman I’m a God. I think these tracks represent the most successful hybrid of Halsey pop and NIN production. 

I never really was into Halsey, enjoyed just two songs from hopeless fountain kingdom, tried getting into Badlands a few days ago but failed terribly. The new album is suprisingly interesting, however; a really decent record. 

i've been underwhelmed by every halsey release since room 93/badlands, but this one is SO GOOD! no skips, immaculate production, cool concept and very well executed, i love it so much! i'm very curious about the movie, why isn't it available on the internet yet ughhh

I Didn't Change My Number, Billie Bossa Nova, Oxytocin, Halley's Comet, OverHeated, Your Power, NDA … my favorites i think 
 
the album is really good, her debut was a bit more instant for me, this is more of a grower
 
i think a collab between billie/finneas and lana would be really interesting
