Christmas has really been bad for some of y’all. This isn’t the unpopular Lana opinion thread.

Jack White has it right, The big 3 - Sony, UMG & Warner need to build a plant Each.
I’m assuming the reason Universal hasn’t yet is because they’re afraid the format will fade again.
I think having more than a couple variants per album will do this to a degree though…

I totally get the fact they want the rarity appeal of having less variants available but since it's a pre-order anyway (and what even is pre-order stock like they're not even made yet right?) wouldn't they just want to make as much money as possible by having everything purchasable? You can tell I haven't bought a vinyl before

I definitely agree with this. I think the hardest hit will be the pop and rap genre perhaps. 
 
Naturally, there's going to be exceptions, like internet related physical releases perhaps like mixtapes and unreleased things. But I think it's much better to only collect for 1 to 2 artists max. 
 
I actually have had to sell a few pieces from my collection as an auction, and in the end I mostly got back what I spent on the records themselves. Naturally, these were more pop oriented records too. I'm curious to know of anyone else's experience with this.

I predict a huge downfall in vinyl demand within the next 10 years; artists release too many variants of their new records, it's becoming hard to keep up.
 
I feel like the value will peak at some point and the demand will logically decrease.
 
Forcibly laughing at people that buy 128704 copies of each variants to scam desperate fans a few years down the line.

No super deep analysis here, but to me, she's comparing herself to the forgotten tunnel. Her inner beauty/personality is like the "mosaic ceilings, painted tiles on the wall" of the tunnel, but no man has wanted to explore her inner beauty/personality. They suppress it instead, just like the walls that form the structure of the tunnel but are covered with the mosaic painted tiles on the inside ("Handmade beauty sealed up by two man-made walls"). 
 
No men have cared enough to actually get to know the real her. She wants to know when it's her turn for a man to actually love her for her ("When's it gonna be my turn?") The suppression and apathy around her true self causes her to lose confidence in herself, relying on sex and his supposed love to make her love herself again ("Fuck me to death, love me until I love myself").
 
The woman in the second verse feels like another metaphor for Lana and the tunnel. She sings Hotel California, not because she enjoys it, but because she thinks it's what men want from her and will lure them in enough to want to know her inner beauty.

I’ll never understand the desire for a deluxe version… let alone Target or iTunes bonus tracks. It’s gimmicky and corny. Just put the those songs on the standard or don’t put them out at all
