Not me saying this and then not being able to fall asleep before having to work a ~12 hour day on set that I have to start getting ready for now  Love that for me. Oh well, at least I have the excitement of getting to listen to the album at midnight to carry me through the day x

Some of the song comparisons critics make are so funny.

It gets real boring when reviewers and journalists keep banging on about Born to Die being criticised and her SNL performance, and people thinking shes fake blah blah blah etc. that was over 11 years ago! Time to move on. She has established herself now and is seen as one of the greatest song writers of the 21st century and is respected by her peers. So can they move the fuck on already.

    some critics are so annoying
theyll go give positions, midnights, happier than ever etc a 5/5 then give masterpieces like magdalene, nfr etc a 3/5

I see no real reason why they just gave 3/5.
When critics don't know what to criticize, they say something like 'the album is too long'.

For all those saying the VB part doesn't have impact because it's been like 5 years since its release here's a quote from the Attitude review:

Album closer ‘Taco Truck x VB’ is similarly nervy, incorporating a gnarlier version of Norman Fucking Rockwell! single ‘Venice Bitch’, with all the self-referential confidence of Madonna sampling ‘Vogue’ on ‘Deeper and Deeper’.

Vogue was released in 1990, and Deeper And Deeper in 1992 so let miss Taco be the baddie she is. Periodt

    100%

and now I have the impression that simply because Lana said that it’s not a good song, people think that she hates it.

but I feel like - because it is a very personal and heartbreaking song - she doesn’t want to talk about it. I also think she meant “not a good song” in terms of a classic type of song, with a verse-chorus-verse structure.

but whatever, I’m my opinion Fingertips is a highlight in her discography.

I think she’s says it’s not a good song because it doesn’t follow a traditional structure

its a train of thought, a poem, beautiful Melodies that tell her story

i compared it to a solo in a musical, she’s singing her thoughts

    Lana:

I think the biggest lesson that I’ve learned is that there is no lesson in these hard lessons, you just have to let it go. Not everything is going to be revealed as to why weird things happen. However, I do have a theory that if you’re trying your best and you’re willing to let go of things that you feel don’t serve the greater good of your value system, then I think you’ll always be in the right place at the right time. If you’re teetering on the edge of doing something that’s against your value system, it’s like, be careful of where angels fear to tread, they might not be able to reach you.

Yeah the UK reviews thing was a fucking mess. What the hell. The way her label doesn't respect her craft?  Such an intimate record and they make some improvised listening event with reviewers eating popcorn and taking bathroom breaks. Ugh.

Anyway, "My pastor told me..." is one of the most haunting Lana moments vocally.

They are unmastered based on their lengths but I don't know if the final version will sound noticeable different. We will see on Friday.

ask any person who makes music and they'll tell you there are no such thing as "productional flaws" just say you don't like a song and go, stop trying to make it seem like they are not up to your technical quality standards when you don't know what you are talking about. i guess he thinks he is a professional mixer now after he rearranged some stems and bounced those "uv demos"...
