If any song deserves a music video, it's Love Song.

god I wish Lana would do a damn documentary or some video interview where the interviewer just sits back and films Lana and Jack doing whatever in the studio. I think that the magic Lana has in the studio is one of the most interesting qualities about her as all of her producers have talked about how amazing she is yet we've barely seen any videos of her creating a demo / finalizing a song. I would literally die to see Lana do a Gaga: Five Foot Two type of movie

i mean this is the same team that left a DEMO on the vinyl and all the physical releases printed worldwide and only just realised months after the release   ... so expect to have lana's head accidentally cropped out of the album cover this era

Sylvia Plath was an American poet who is known for advancing confessional poetry. Plath suffered depression her entire life and committed suicide from carbon monoxide poisoning from a gas oven when she was 30. So Lana, with this song, is writing confessional poetry and describing what Plath must have felt 24/7; some sort of continuous despair. The bittersweet irony is that Lana has hope. Dangerous for a woman who suffers despair daily to have hope to keep going because that would continue the despair that she wishes to end? Maybe.

completely feel this! each song has like a very lana-esque element.

Ride is the big, bombastic anthem about the strange combined feelings of loneliness and freedom.
American is the slightly more paired-back, intimate, sweet, devoted love song with the trip-hop elements present on BTD.
Cola is the sultry, Bond Girl-esque side of Lana that sings about older men and diamonds.
Body Electric is the sinister celebration of iconography and Americana.
Blue Velvet is the classic jazz cover, obviously significant to Lana's whole thing.
Gods & Monsters is the most rock-inspired song on the EP, which again, super relevant to Lana (the song would probs fit right in on UV) and that's without even considering the iconic lyrics and what they represent in the Lana pantheon.
Yayo is obviously a re-imagining of her elusive earlier work as Lizzy and all its talk of trailer parks and putting on a show for u daddy represents the 'sad party' vibe she aims for in her earlier work and unreleased stuff.
Bel Air is a lil bit of 'Hollywood Sadcore' Lana, super ethereal and gentle but also a little glamorous and cinematic.

there's rly something in every song of this EP to represent who Lana is, esp who she was at that point    it needs more love

If Lana and Sean really broke up I wonder how it will be influence this album. Last year she mentioned that she has already written parts of it. Back then it seems like that Lana was really happy and in love. And it looked like she was really happy and in love with Sean as well. Imagine the first half is full of more happy sounding songs and sweet love songs. Maybe with acoustic guitar or with strings and some 'soft' e-guitar now and then. Some surf rock influences would be amazing as well. Even Yosemite would fit in this part but my delusional ass should stop thinking about Yosemite. Then in the Middle part the album will took a turn. That is when the break up will be described. Imagine more sadder or angrier songs with drums and more E-guitar and maybe some Horns in the background. The second half is still about the break up and about Lanas current mindset and maybe a little bit of the end of the world feeling . But in the end she will get her more positive mindset back and has hope again. Maybe she is thankful for everything that happened because all the shit makes her stronger women who is fighting for her freedom and her art.
The second half has a lot of E-Guitars and pschydelic influences.

And Lana said that she wants to stay in the same realm as NFR!
With this record I imagined she would discover at least sonically more of the 'rockish' part of NFR!. She would develope the MAC,Venice Bitch, FILLY, the greatest sound.

I'm finding the spread of the virus really interesting. This isn't going to be the one to wipe out massive populations, like millions, but now we know the one that will, which will have a higher mortality rate, will spread really damn quick and it's quite scary.
I'm not worried but I'm taking precautions, like washing my hands whenever I can. Even though I'm healthy and very unlikely to die if I had it, I'd hate to spread it to someone that does die.
I hope everyone realises this and gets used to being really on point with hygiene.

The New York Times posted an article about Jack, noting that Lana was actively working with him in late-January:
"On that day during Grammys week, he arrived at the studio in the afternoon. The previous day, he had devoted the morning to working on the new Bleachers album; in the evening, Del Rey swung by for a session."
