I guess this might be kinda creepy but what I like about Lana's music is that it's easy to link the lyrics back to real people/experiences. Then again, nearly all of the people she's dated in the past ten years were public figures so there's that. Still, it makes the music so much more heartfelt and personal as a fan.

Let's see what you got this time around Lana!

For me, the outtakes and the standalone songs count as well to an era. It's hard to decide between Ultraviolence and Norman Fucking Rockwell!. UV is my favorite album of hers and  I really like the outtakes like Yes to heaven or Fine China.
Even though they are not sounding like UV songs, I Can Fly and Big Eyes kinda count to the UV era for me as well. So Lana would produce UV sounding songs and some cinematic songs for the rest of her career. NFR!  is a good album and she is in a better state of mind ( she went from " I'm a sad girl" to "At least I can say I'm not sad"). And VENICE BITCH is on NFR!  But I do like the production of UV more.....
So I would go with the UV era sonically.... some cinematic songs like I Can Fly & Big Eyes, some songs with a rockish undertone like Shades of Cool, Flipside & Cruel world, some beautiful ballads like Old Money, some darker, sexier songs like FMWUTTT, and songs with psychedelic influences like West Coast and she could throw some surf guitar in those songs!!
Only sonically..lyrically she can write happier songs if she wants to (and many of us would be happy for Lana if she is in a happier state of mind)... And Florida Kilos and the radio mix of West Coast (which is released on the german/austrian/swiss UV edition) sounded less dark than the rest of UV.  And she could do sonically a song like Yes to Heaven or could release it ....maybe I took this too serious..lol but nevermind

Do you have ever felt really happy even if it only was just for a second?

How to disappear as well. I had problems getting into this song but now I really like this track. It's somehow such a dreamy track.
And I had a weird "relationship" to the title track. At first, I liked this song but after a few weeks/months I didn't really like the song and now I start to like NFR again.  The TNBAR demo lyrics are superior but I get used to album version lyrics and can really enjoy this track now. Doin' Time isn't necessary for the album but it is nice to have this cute little bop before Love Song. Love Song is soft, beautiful and touching but I think because it is placed after DT it has more intensity..like you are dancing to DT and then Love Song starts and suddenly you find urself lying on the floor with tears in your eyes...

sometimes I think about the cinnamon girl snippets and im like "o its not that different from the final" then I actually play the snippets and BITCHHHH   why would she make the bass and distortion so fucking quiet it was so good before and now it just feels flat

I was away from Lanz and LB for like a month and a half and the news of her breaking up with that cop is probably the best news of this horrible year
Now let's hope for a good album with dark rocky sound

I saw a Lana bingo sheet yesterday and wanted to make my own. This is very easy: just mark everything that applies to you and see if you can get five marks in a row! If you do, you got bingo!

    This is my result...

Venice Bitch was close though but West Coast is still on the top. I can't tell how many eargasms I get while listening to West Coast... Imagine how good a song must be to finally top West Coast ... a hard job for Lana

I don't know why but I listen more than usual to Lana's music and to her live performances while I'm in quarantine. Her music is kinda like therapy if that makes sense and it is such a great escape.

I was at a point where I couldn't listen to many songs of LFL anymore then I took a break from it and I can really enjoy the album again. Not her best album but it is still pretty good
  21. takeitdoen liked a post in a topic by Pico Ocean Boulevard in Vitamin String Quartet to cover Lana
I would be happy if she just bring back the string 'quartet' from the ??Paradise tour. An orchestral show would be amazing but we know that it most likely will never happen....

As per their announcement, Vitamin String Quartet will be covering Lana, and are releasing a music video and single on Friday: https://www.facebook.com/vitaminstringquartet/posts/10158126387419771:0

Hopefully they cover a whole album's worth - for those not aware, VSQ covers major bands and artists with around 10 - 14 songs per album. They've previously covered some of Lana's hits including Summertime Sadness + Young and Beautiful.

I hope they re-do Video Games since it sounds like they did that when they still produced shitty synthesised albums. Lately it's been done with all real instruments so fingers crossed for a beautiful album!
