If Lana and Sean really broke up I wonder how it will be influence this album. Last year she mentioned that she has already written parts of it. Back then it seems like that Lana was really happy and in love. And it looked like she was really happy and in love with Sean as well. Imagine the first half is full of more happy sounding songs and sweet love songs. Maybe with acoustic guitar or with strings and some 'soft' e-guitar now and then. Some surf rock influences would be amazing as well. Even Yosemite would fit in this part but my delusional ass should stop thinking about Yosemite. Then in the Middle part the album will took a turn. That is when the break up will be described. Imagine more sadder or angrier songs with drums and more E-guitar and maybe some Horns in the background. The second half is still about the break up and about Lanas current mindset and maybe a little bit of the end of the world feeling . But in the end she will get her more positive mindset back and has hope again. Maybe she is thankful for everything that happened because all the shit makes her stronger women who is fighting for her freedom and her art.
The second half has a lot of E-Guitars and pschydelic influences.
 
And Lana said that she wants to stay in the same realm as NFR!
With this record I imagined she would discover at least sonically more of the 'rockish' part of NFR!. She would develope the MAC,Venice Bitch, FILLY, the greatest sound.

‪The demo sounds a bit more majestic with the strings, reminds me of Born To Die or Bel Air in a way. Also very dramatic, dark drums in the background... I think Lust For Life sounded darker in Lana’s mind before she decided to change things. The Young and In Love demo was also dramatic, especially with those horror movie sounds in the beginning.

lust for life is probably my least favorite album of hers, but that doesn't mean i hate it or dislike it. i love all of the songs on lfl, but i just don't play it as much as i do her other records. i definitely need to appreciate and listen to it more. in my feelings deserves more love cuz she's a bop.

It feels like knowing what u want to happen, but being able to let go, to accept reality, knowing to trust that situations will work themselves out. Strength in accepting the unknown as one of life's many concepts/characteristics. also, heat. a lot of heat on this track

Exactly! Very much agree with you on that note. It gives the record that little spark and it’s that one song you can show your friends and they’ll probably like it lol. I see it as a little introduction of the essence of the record. It’s fun and the perfect summer song!

Agree with you that DT, while being a fun summer track, is not in the same vein as the other songs. But it’s the bop that album needed, honestly. Love NFR, love its subtleties and its overall feeling, but DT brings a little lightness to it, even if it doesn’t feel connected to the rest of the album.

My BF and I had a debate about a « surprise release » being a good strategy for an album. True, it costs zero dollars in promotion, and it can be the best strategy for a record company if :
- You’re a big enough artist ;
- If the album is insanely good.
I’m super curious about the sound and direction LDR7 will take, with the recent events in the world and in her life.

Ich rufe morgen früh aufjedenfall bei meinem Hausarzt an und erzähle ihm alles.  Aufjedenfall müsste ich mal durchgecheckt werden egal ob das jetzt wegen dem Coronavirus oder noch wegen meiner Grippe ist. Kriege nämlich immoment kaum Luft und habe Husten. Ich hoffe das es deinem Vater wieder gut. Hoffe auch das ihr keinen Coronavirus hattet aber es könnte wahrscheinlich Corona gewesen sein. Ist halt blöd das du und deine Mum sich nicht testen lassen können.....es gibt mehrere Menschen die den Virus in sich tragen und keine Symptome zeigen und sich nicht testen lassen können bzw dürfen weil eben keine Symptome oder kein Kontakt zu einem/r bestätigten Infizierten besteht. Finde ich auch nur zum Augen rollen....
