I've checked some release sites and Lana isn't on any of them, particularly on the impacting songs sections. Surely she has a song lined up to release within the next few months. Everyone else has their songs listed. Lana's team take such a long with putting things out

Could her website sell the poetry book even though Interscope doesn’t seem to be involved with the poetry book?!?

Omg all these goddamn news!!! I've just now caught up with this thread a little bit and it's definitely very exciting  the encoding of COCC for her website pretty much confirms it's coming september 4th/5th so thank god for no more shakey release dates lol (I mean it still might be the case for some chaos, we don't know but     )
It's nice Violet is finally gonna be released and the timing with the album promotion seem to line up like a dream. Did Lana actually plan stuff this time wow who would've thought

Radiohead is so overrated I can't with that band. They have some good songs but they're not as good as people pretend them to be.
 

i thought ariana's 'thank u next' was the blandest, dullest song ever that'd be nothing without the music video that went with it jaysus

there are loads of singers with an ounce of talent right now 

twenty one pilots...i just cannot do it. i actually liked their new album quite a bit but 95% of their previous material makes me cringe reflexively at the lyrics and delivery, and feels like being locked in an empty dark icy warehouse while tiny elves with pickaxes hammer at my skull from the inside out.
 
the 1975. their music sounds like the sonic personification of a really bland instagram aesthetic. it feels like they were manufactured expressly for the urban outfitters vinyl section.
 
i KNOW there are several more that i've put in genuine effort to like but can't, but those two are all that come to mind at the moment

Kim Petras' Clarity Album, Era 1 had some of the best pop songs ever created and she still decided to make Clarity her debut album. Like, the poppier songs (Do Me, Sweet Spot, Got My Number and Personal Hell) are amazing but the rest is just meh and too trap

I mean I like some classic songs from Iron Maiden etc but idk I can't get into it, I think this music is a lifestyle too 

omg sooooooo much a lot of people i talk to are really into grunge/punk and no matter how hard i try and whatever playlists they make me etc i just can't do it. every time my friend tries to educate me on punk or grunge it just sounds so pretentious and then when i listen to it it's even more embarrassing it just sounds awful. like why would you want to listen to bad music on purpose? i don't get it
 
also ariana, i liked DW for a while but unfortunately i grew out of it and had to pretend to like sweetener, and marina too she's not bad i just don't really grab onto her music like i do w other artists yknow. at least marina seems chill but ariana is so performative it exhausts me the same amount as listening to HIADTFAWLMTHBIHI . even liking DW was just half me trying to bond w my friend who stans her. i do think the album is good it's just not as great as i used to think it was, especially since i've discovered a lot of incredible music since then it just seems average in comparison 
 
also today's new hip hop, i'm glad people are enjoying it and it's something new and moving the genre forward and creating new trends and mannerisms and aesthetics etc and like that's really really cool to witness in real time but ........ the music....... i can't believe . i tried listening to that one shek wes(?) song when it was popular and i was literally dumbfounded that THAT was what all my friends were raving about like ........ wow . maybe it's incredible and i'm just missing something or maybe it sounds better if ur drunk or high or something but i'll never know since i'm sober lol

I agree, I found one of her album (Lungs) in a thrift store for 1$ and because people were praising her so much I tought I would adore her, but it literally sounded like any stereotypical indie artist album, there was no song that really grabbed my attention. The only song with her vocals I love is Goodnight Gotham

Lorde is also another for me. I played Pure Heroine back to back a few times when it first came out trying to get into it. I can tolerate her music but it bores me after a bit.
