As much as I would want to go to a listening party, I don’t know if I want my first listening experience to be in a room full of screaming TikTok kids…

Help. All 7 of the record stores in my state (listed on Lana's site) have DENIED there's a listening party for Lana, they know nothing about it!!! They did invite me to attend the listening party for Melanie Martinez on the 31st though 

the fact that TULSA is the closest Lp to me...  i'd hate to see you know who

I don’t want to go to one of the listening parties by myself like some sort of pervert, but none of my friends are really into Lana so I’m not sure what I’ll do

Let’s not forget UV and Honeymoon also aren’t as praised as they deserve to be. Ocean Blvd is gonna be a gem for the girls who get it 

If it gets a lower Metacritic score than COCC I’m gonna lose it  I like it but come on it’s nowhere near Ocean Blvd’s greatness

these reviews are triggering me man… cause i know damn well these critics did not sit and actually take time to listen, and RELISTEN to the music. instead their publications are probably rushing them to push out the “first” review to gain $$$ - so of course they’re skipping over the narratives. 
Half-assing their work i swear. 

I’m so glad gigwise mentions that actually. Only a few paragraphs in but their review seems sm more self aware than the others re: criticism 

Can I just say I love all your album thoughts, even when we don’t love the same songs your reviews are so thoughtful and I almost feel swayed by them 😂

I keep trying not to overplay the album until it's released, but the songs are so stuck in my brain already... 
I keep singing and humming the melodies every 5 minutes, this is just such a good album

I hope she keeps working with actual pianists in future albums. This is not a diss to Drew or Jack cause they did an amazing job but I missed actual compositions instead of just some accompanying chords (which also work sometimes of course)

Just listened to the whole thing and...
