"Guys I’m a complete idiot, and not as tech savvy as I thought..... I was literally trying to find hidden pages by manually searching /rockcandy-sweet ect. So when I opened the console I saw all these listings of what I had searched for and assumed they where actually pages..... but in reality they where the pages that I had manually tried to find that don’t actually exist I’m so sorry for leading y’all on. I’m crying from laughter and shame and overall just craziness. I need to go back to bed"

They just commented this... turns out they're just stupid, moving on ?

While driving today, I had the album on and I ended up going a little bit out of the city and while on the road, had a literal country club on my right and to my left, some farmland with yellowed grass and I thought that that imagery was so on the nose for this album. It was perfect

Every album since Paradise has had fans saying it's her farewell.

Translated most of the article except  for page 40 which is just a rundown of her discography, maybe @COCC is gonna translate that at some point?

Translation is a bit shaky at certain points, I didnt revise it at all but its still better than Google I suppose
    here you go

I haven't seen anyone talk about the central setting of this song, and how there's never been a 'Men in Music Business' conference. The very idea of it is absurd, because men are considered the default in this sort of thing, and it's only minorities/less recognised groups that the industry occasionally remembers.  What there have been, of course, are numerous 'Women In Music' conferences, which pretend to be about showing off, for that one day, the talents of women performers, but are actually just another chance to ogle them.
So it's pretty funny how she flips it around from what it probably was - a patronising event at which the music executives were, I'd imagine, made up almost exclusively of men, so that it reflects what it must have felt like to nineteen-year-old Lizzy. A circus where she was the one who was looked at, by people who forgot or didn't care that she was looking at them at the same time. She did the same with flipping 'Music to Watch Girls By', too.

Nice gratuitous mention of the album at the bottom of a completely unrelated story on the Australian national broadcaster's website:

I always hear "you take the whale" in High By The Beach, which is a great mental image.

I agree, even though I don't agree with the grade as such, or some of his criticisms, at least there weren't any moronic or unfair comments like on his UV review. Of course, I've avoided the comments for the video, because he's built his brand by building up a fanbase of dumbasses, and his comment sections are regularly awful, misogynistic, racist etc.

I think a 7 is fair. I’m glad he has become slightly more objective and open to her music as time has went on

I'm late, but thank you so much for doing that research! NGL, would love to own a typwriter someday. It's supercool to know which one Lana was (most likely) using in that iconic video.

My impression is that it's about a feeling of darkness that the narrator has from the place that she's in, while the people around her are getting off on the fact that they're in a place associated with Manson.
    Warning: disgusting imagery in spoiler.

The song seems to be about some people escaping into heroin, and some escaping from it. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't sick of it" is also about the need for escape (similar to the scene in 'Afraid'), and the sickness that surrounds heroin use - the sickness of addiction; the sickness of withdrawal; the existential sickness of being in that physical place.

I've only just heard the song in the past couple of hours so it's still sinking in, but it's one of her best works.

I think Kathleen Heffernan did the LMLYLAW font/red Chemtrails logo in the same style and Ellie did the VBBOTG and COTCC album cover fonts, so that’s why, but yes! Confirmation!!

So as usual, I don't have the answer, but I wanted to thank you for asking it, and sending me down a rabbit hole of looking at pictures of old typewriters. This one is an electric typewriter, probably from the 80s onwards, but I couldn't figure out/recognise the logo. I found this blog that is written by someone who hopefully could answer the question with more detail than you ever imagined. Let me know how you go!
