Only ones I can think of are Uncut (print only, so we won't see it for maybe a month), No Ripcord, or MusicOMH.

I was expecting a 78 max on Metacritic before the album dropped given the controversies. I hate that I’m channeling energy to make sure that COCC stays at 80+, music publications are mostly a waste nowadays.

Looking back on it, NFR! felt like an album that maximized the general public’s perception of Lana—a Southern California sad girl. But I still love it for the melodies and soundscape. However, I am forever thankful that she recorded and released White Dress, so much so that it dwarfs my high opinion of NFR.

I think the whole announcement might have been a spontaneous  « thank you » to fans and critics. She seemed to have been very afraid of Chemtrails’s reaction but not only is it doing super well on charts for a record with zero promo and no « real single », but everyone (or almost) applauses it without comparing too much to Norman.

If it does come on June 1st, then I'm expecting it to be an EP. I think she probably felt pressured to release COCC considering it was supposed to be Sept 5 and didn't have time to polish the rest of the material in time for the deadline.

I don't know if any of you have checked Metacritic but the chemtrails score is now lower (81) previously it was at 85 almost the same score as Norman (87).
I personally think that 80/81 is a fair score for the album, when I saw that chemtrails had two points less than Norman's score it seemed strange to me because that means that it is almost as good as Norman and in my humble opinion it is not. NORMAN's lyrics and production is simply superior.
I like chemtrails but I just don't think it's on Norman's level or close to him; in the same way I will continue listening to see if my opinion changes.
    What do you think?

My order arrived today and I finished my first reading.

This book is so beautiful and thoughtful. You can really feel that she put her heart into it. My only complain is that I wish it was longer. I kept reading the same page over and over again to create the illusion that it had more poems. I'm looking forward to read it tomorrow with a new perspective

Ellie Benuska (who did the LMLYLAW and COCC text) posted that she did that RCS text so I guess it's set in stone as a song title, at least

i’m more excited for this than any other upcoming project she has.

fewer expectations, less press, but more insights into the inner Lana.

I feel like the institutions she would talk about in this book- the music industry/Grammys, her time in boarding school, rehab, Princess Diana?

I love Chemtrails. That said, there's no way she can go any softer or minimalistic than she does on that album. It's very soft, gentle, wispy. For Rock Candy Sweet, I want her to try some faster songs, with a rock/electric guitar-heavy approach. I just feel like she still has a harder-edged, alternative rock album in her that's waiting to be unleashed. Idk. But I'm pretty much down for anything - as long as it isn't a pop album or a piano ballad album.

Don't even worry about it. AV Club and Sputnik were always going to give her a bad review. AV Club spent their entire review talking about how Chemtrails pales in comparison to NFR, but they only gave NFR a "B" rating. The reviewer from Sputnik has always been a Lana hater and planned on giving her album a bad score in advance. These are the types of reviews I've been expecting - they're immature and unprofessional, but that's why not many people take journalism seriously these days. I'm just thankful (and pleasantly surprised) we're still in the 80s on Metacritic.

Unfortunately yes. 58 is too low imo. Some of them really have an audacity.
