Now I remember why I never watch awards shows. They don’t honor real talent. Lana deserves so much, it’s crazy. So tired of the same old, tired pop crap. After she didn’t do a red carpet interview (at least on the channel I watched) I said I was done but my family was like” you’ve been talking about the Grammys for 3 weeks, we’re watching” So we watched the whole thing. I’m so sad for her and mad. I don’t hate Billie but I don’t think she deserved her awards and her acceptance speeches were awful and really pissed me off that she said Ariana should’ve won. Thank u next was not that great. Forgettable, really. Fuck.

AOTY? Lana's. Most critically acclaimed album among the nominees, most no.1 rankings on year-end lists
But they gave these 2 awards to Billie because...idk, they got lazy? I don't have an explanation, Billie's album does not outmatch Ariana vocally or Lana compositionally or melodically
But what's new, the grammies are a popularity contest after all. Disappointed but not surprised. 
Damn I really though they will finally reward Lana and give her all the damn respect and appreciation she deserves, after so many years, many quality albums and so much hard work and influence over a fucking decade.

Can I just rant for a second? Not that I usually express anger on here, I want to keep myself as levelheaded as possible but shit.
 
I'm more mad and disappointed than sad. I'm really unhappy about the fact that Billie had totally ignored Lana when we all know she's claimed that Lana was a huge influence for her, and didn't she say that Lana deserved the Grammy a while ago? Then she goes on stage and says ARIANA deserves it, which I thought was odd of course, Lana was sitting right there and she had the audacity to completely leave her out of it? I feel like she's not even that much of a fan. She's a young girl who has probably never been told no once in her entire career. Lana's been fighting for her right to create her art and be free with music and she's been doing it since 2004/2005. She's been through so much and it took her about 6 years to just break into the mainstream, and then was heckled and harshly ridiculed by critics because of ONE bad performance. I don't mean to sound like I hate Billie, I don't, but I'm just frustrated with this whole situation. Billie had won countless other awards just this night alone. She didn't need AOTY.

I remember just the other day seeing an interview of Billie, she was asked to name songs she wish she had wrote but didnt and she names “Off to the races” as the first one, and before that names Lana as one of her biggest inspos.
 
I wonder why she didnt acknowledge Lana!! She never really mentions Ariana, especially compared to Lana. Maybe she felt she had to since Ariana is way more popular and has a massive fanbase? Still, I would’ve given Lana her spotlight

I'm really disappointed. I love Lana so much, I don't anything against anyone else but this was supposed to be her night.

I don't think Billie is such a big Lana fan as she claims. She was being compared to her a lot and so she rolled with it. A big fan would be like Adele, who literally cracked half her award for Beyonce and Taylor who brought Lana up in her Billboard speech. Billie is full of shit.

I really don't care about Lana losing, but Billie not giving Lana the credit she deserves was fucking disrespectful. Bitch, Lana Del Rey literally walked so you could run.
