Pretty sure if we get anything, it will be in 3/4 hours time when its 9am or 10am in LA. I think today has the strongest possibility of all the Fridays we've had so far. Buckle up girlies. Something has to come today, even if its to announce a delay... any announcement... will keep ... me sane

Imagine Ben and Ed be like "Lana, this is roll out month, be active on social medias, have a schedule, set an alarm for your posts and tweets."

The problem is it seems to imply there is a "way" to be a woman (and knowing Lana she'd probably cave into traditional feminine tropes instead of expansive 'gender is a social construct' types of ideas)
For example, if "Loving someone like a woman" is being submissive, docile, overly supportive and putting the man ahead of herself, being the receiver in bed, she'll probably get dragged for being regressive towards women's rights and feminism etc etc. It's totally okay if that's what being a woman is to her, even though many would find that degrading and stupid etc, but she's really not found a great way to articulate this IMO. I'm a pretty big academic feminist and even I think its a tight rope to walk to try to express this openly with like regular people or casual feminist leaning people. Doesn't mean there isn't a place/way to do it but yeah.
 
The Question for the Culture post was like from what I took when I read it the first time, kind of supposed to be about her proudly claiming that she's okay being typically soft, feminine, etc. in a relationship and with men (and discussing the ways its hurt her incl. abuse etc) and doesn't want to feel like she can't talk about that honestly w.o being accused of dragging women's rights back a century. She was basically like, why don't feminists support my right to speak about that, but they do pretty openly support XYZ actions of other women who have done things that society at one point found inappropriate) However, her message got lost super quick with the optics and she was rightfully dragged, and then she dug her heels in even further so...

99% of the posts in this thread are speculative, so I'm not sure why you're so pressed over people speculating about the subject matter of a song. Chill.

She should i mean... Being a feminist is the bare minimum actually. If you're not a feminist today you're directly being sexist, there's no other option. That would mean not being supportive of women's rights and she's not like that. She has shown support and more interest on women's issues these past years. She may not agree with certain aspects of feminism bc there's a lot of them, but she definitely is.

I think Let Me Love You Like A Woman will touch upon the fact that she's always rejected by feminists for not being what some people think an empowered woman should be, and she will explore that being a woman is whatever you want it to be and there needs to be space for all different women in feminism like she talked about her in question for the culture. Let me love you like the woman I am, not like the woman you want me to pretend to be.

No... she can't do whatever she wants to. Those are totally different things. You can write fictional scenarios or use metaphors or exaggerations to tell a story, but she can't pretend to be part of an oppressed collective? That's literally very disrespectful and out of place.

She said September 5th right? So it's likely a worldwide release (NZ will have it on 6th).
You may be wondering, "where's the surprise of it?" The surprise is that she's actually releasing it and not just making shit up on a whim. We'll all be surprised when she actually comes through.

team "delusional" has logic on our side. Fact: Lana said the album is coming on Sept 5th. Fact: Lana was filming a music video in late August. Fact: Lana confirmed she's working on a music video, and reiterated that the album is coming. Fact: Lana never said the album has been delayed or isn't coming on the 5th.

So, my theory is that tomorrow she will post the album cover, the tracklist, and then the album cover again so this theme stays intact. Between 9 and 10 AM PST tomorrow, with the album coming at 9 PM PST tomorrow / midnight EST on Saturday. Worldwide release, so everyone gets it in 32 hours. 

Also, her merch is now on sale; likely so all of the NFR era stuff is cleared out so they can get ready for COTCC aesthetics, the merch and physical albums. This has happened with other eras before. Get ready!
 
 

 
 

This - also with NFR there were no leaks UNTIL the album was sent to retailers in advance and that’s why Qobuz “leaked” a sampler with snippets and why the album leaked on cassette and then CD. Jack’s hard-drive must be secured to the max -  look at how Folklore was a total surprise! If they just send it digitally tomorrow morning, then it can’t leak, and if it somehow does, then at least it’s only hours before the album comes out! 

Yes. Lana herself gave us the date officially and we still have no reason to think that it's not coming  september 5 digital suprise release is real. We just need to wait 2 days more.
