There have been multiple reports that she used to do coke before every show ... probably due to nerves.

Countless people - including musicians themselves - have said in interviews and books that it's almost impossible to avoid them if you're in the industry. Additionally, at least two of her high-profile exes were definitely into them (Barrie and Gerald), and there are also indications that her others were, too.

It's all through her music, and through the music industry in general.

She did drugs. She possibly still does them. It doesn't make her a bad person, and talking about it isn't a terrible thing to do. People need to deal. (This is not @ you, Doll, but I feel like every time we discuss this, people get upset).

    I'm here dreaming of a sultry/jazzy album
I simply find NFR lackluster and wordy, but I do think it just encapsulate her current life and friends aka boring Christian housewife with dumb boyfriends that aren't even interesting to write about. She seems like someone who is very influenced by the people around her so I hope for her next album she works with someone who truly pushes her! She's so talented and with still so much unlocked potential.

I really wish she would move out of California for a while it is stagnating her

The fact that the girl who created Ultraviolence has this sort of friend group now... personality change check!!

    It worked for her before.

Other then age, difference of course is these pics were all taken before she fucked with her face and lips. She looked stunning.

These pic was after her nose job and lip job. No fillers yet. She looked stunning.

The problem isn't the blonde hair. It's what she's done to her face over the years and she didn't fill her eyebrows out in today's pics like she did in these old photos.

Personally I prefer her reddish/blonde or light auburn hair she had back in the Born To Die era.

I like that you think that way, and I honestly wish I did too. Trust me, I hate that I don't like nfr, because everyone else is enjoying it so much and I'm here trying really hard to as well.
From my perspective, the way she turned to the outerworld seemed rather forced, and not a natural or authentic progess, as if she felt like she had to, not that she wanted to, and because those she surrounds herself with were influencing her.
The way she writes about the outer world doesnt seem anywhere near as mature and interesting as, for example, Father John Misty, Garbage, or basically any artists she herself listens to and loves.
It's like there is no message or stance in her 'outer-world' songs besides "I'm just thinking about it". I wish she'd be a little more direct, the way she is with how she feels, or at least have waited until she knew what she was trying to say before singing about 'outer world' matters.

LFL and NFR were not Lana Del Rey albums and I think that's why they were disappointing to me and I didn't enjoy them very much. Lana Del Rey is tragic, dramatic, cinematic, larger than life, glamorous, etc. NFR was maybe like a modern May Jailer, idk who LFL was but I'm not interested in finding out anyways lmfao. I hope COCC brings the return of Miss Del Rey, though it really doesn't sound like it will. White Hot Forever was such a Lana title I'm sad she changed it :/ I'm really not interested in Lana's out of touch takes on reality lmfao. I go to her music for escapism, I don't want to hear lyrics about ipads or revolutions or that she has a tile floor and takes anti depressants or whatever or i'll literally kill myself like i need a break

Jack's production is so boring and lackluster. ik yall keep  saying "but that's what she wanted! that's what they were going for!" then.... that's sad for them

I like the blonde but she looks so plastic

    New hair new era!!!

idk I want to love the blonde but I don’t. I think the length/style/tone is throwing me off? It’s basic white girl hair. If it was like 4 inches shorter it’d look better.

Lana if you’re reading this, while it’s long, consider the auburn hair again

She looks unrecognizable in the last few pics we’ve seen. Her face at the end of that last poem video...who even was that?

I’m all for plastic surgery but she looked better before. Is it fillers? Her face looks so puffy and just weird.

Sorry, but... If there is still hatred after that it will be simply because people cannot live without directing their hatred towards someone on social media.

as much as i'd like to believe that big change is coming, protests exactly like these happened when treyvon martin died and there was no big sustained change in america

I agree. It’s like you can almost tell she was losing a bit of inspiration after BTD (lyrically).

I hope this album will have a bigger sound, less quiet than NFR & Honeymoon

Omfg I can’t believe some of you still wish for old ass unreleased songs that leaked years ago to be magically reworked and put on a new album with a whole new concept of theme even though Lana’s consciousness has evolved immaculately ... it’s kinda cute honestly lol

i know this is just me being elitist or whatever but i am always a little bothered by people categorizing lana with people like melanie martinez, billie, and halsey. she's very different from them and i feel like lana's music is more mature.

i don't know if this is unpopular or not, but i don't really understand why some people categorize lana as 'whisper pop' and credit her for its gradual popularity throughout the 2010s. imo her voice, while not gaga's, ariana's, or mariah's, is very expressive and not at all like billie, selena, etc who use the whisper pop.

I miss/love lana's bratty rich girl image and persona, where she would sing about owning rivieras and wearing diamonds on skid row but it wasn't enough because she wanted to be with the man she loved...it was theatrical and artistic! that phase of her persona doesn't get the respect it deserves

Okay, you are my people. I could talk all day about all this, as a "seeker" / thinker type musician myself. I LOOOOVE Jung. She would DEFINITELY benefit from shadow self work. And I hate the new age movement for the reasons you mentioned, it takes well intentioned, deep people and it placates them with shallow fantasy.

not to be the one beating a dead horse this time, but i just spent about an hour reading ONTD, LSA & twitter comments (yeah i played myself, but i was bored) & damn, the schadenfreude is palpable and the hatred truly disproportionate. not to say a lot of the criticism isn't legitimate, but the whole thing has veered into an excuse to tear an already previously disliked woman down. i hope that video really is the last we'll hear of this whole drama for a good while, because she's only made things worse with each new post. i also hope she's staying tf out of the internet for her own mental health's sake; i'm sure there'll be a time to learn from all of this, but that time sure as hell isn't right now.

idc if lana never thinks about ar*ana again. they come from different universes.

her whole career and aesthetic is founded upon looking and acting like a little girl. she's a recording artist - her abilities begin and end there. with the help of heavy vocal editing

I can see where the anger is coming from. The hate she received in the beginning was truly bizarre. People investigating her past, hating her for her appearance, calling her stupid, fake blablabla. And writing thinkpieces about how morally superior they are to this weird bimbo. And this didn’t come from conservative middle age folk but from
cool indie kids. They really hated her and wanted her destroyed before she even got started

Maybe this is common with new artists and I don’t notice because I only stan Lana, but i can’t think of a similar case

The comparison to the other women made little sense, but her not being able to take “constructive criticism” (dislike that phrase, she is not our naughty student) might be because she gets frustrated when people think she’s had it easy
