A few more thoughts on why she was so emotional during The Grants going into Flipside,
We already know that whatever Sean Larkin did to her was fucked up and she still hasn't gotten over it. Proof being the A&W lyrics, car video, and the billboard in Tulsa among other things. I took The Grants to be a song about her family, but I never really payed attention to the first verse

At first I thought it was a little random to bring out Flipside, especially after The Grants (as much as I love Flipside- she barely ever acknowledged it) but it makes sense now, she's probably feeling those emotions all over again but this time with Sean.

It's so beautiful. And the lyrics are so haunting. The way she says the waves are over her making me think of Fingertips where she talked about her s* attempt. 

She could sing with this register in a cupcake written song and I would still be obsessed with it

I think at this point, they need her more than she needs them, so they know their place, but for certain songs, they are definitely going to try to convince her. I think it helps that SYTH is lyrically a fairly non specific song. I think that, for example, if Pink Champagne had become a tiktok hit, there's still no way she would have released it, because of how personal and raw it is.

Please why would Boz know how Lana feels about this release
