    Tesla Jesus?

I don't know which I'd hate more, a song about Elon Musk or a song about Seany

I won't accept any later date than september 5. WHY SHOULD SHE DELAY IT? She has no reason for this - let's just give us the album in a proper time once. And why do we even talk about grammys scammys? This thing is so upsetting for me.

Yes!! I never really liked the Paradise version. The emotion always sounded fake to me, she was overdoing it. The AKA version sounds so raw and honest, it’s such a shame she never did another song like Yayo. And I imagine COTCC to be a mix between AKA, HM and NFR, so songs like Yayo or even Pawn Shop Blues fit so well on the album in my mind

Tbf 'NFR' is a good album, but it's just kinda beige and uneventful, and the production/instrumentation is also very lackluster. I feel like after 'Lust for Life' which was in general panned by the fans, whatever album Lana was going to release that was slightly better and more cohesive than 'LFL' would be considered some sort of masterpiece. She def stoop the bar pretty low after 'Honeymoon'.

The kinda post that I would frame.

Probably gonna get some hate for this, but after Honeymoon, her albums have been mediocre at best.

LFL had some top tier songs (Cherry, TNC, Heroin), but lacked something overall. I think my main disappointment with that album was how she was falsely projecting this 'happy girl' image which I could easily tell wasn't genuine. Also the concept for the album was good, but didn't come to fruition because of lack of cohesiveness. There I was thinking it was going to be a hippy-folk-tambourine-daisy kinda deal but instead it was something much much watered down. Obviously aesthetics aren't the key to a successful album, but it does help paint a picture for the listener to connect with the music on another level.

NFR was also okay, but easily forgettable. Most of the lyrics seemed to serve as shock value ("You fucked me so good that I almost said 'I love you"), and the production was messy (I think this was the sound engineer's fault tbh). I don't think BAR truly belonged on the album, and she messed up HTD big time. The Greatest could have been a better song had she not name dropped Kanye. There's just too many inconsistencies with the tone of the album.

Basically these two albums have been wishy-washy and all over the place. We all know politics isn't Lana's strongest point, and I feel like that's where her art took a bad turn because political topics tend to age, and when you put it in song, those songs will age along with it.

For COCC I do have high hopes, perhaps because nothing is being spoiled and she seems to be working with promising people this time around. When I listened to the TJF snippet, I felt delighted that she was getting back in touch with her Alabama Lizzy persona a little bit. Singing about what she used to, and it doesn't seem like she's trying to 'impress' anyone lyrics wise. Just singing from the heart.

It’s coming in September for sure - Lana seems to enjoy keeping things pretty lowkey time-wise this release cycle so I think the lack of activity right now will mean that closer to the album release we’ll get everything close together instead of the sporadic and spread out release cycle of NFR.

Delay or no, it seems VERY likely we will get it this year. The Spotify bio change, the little hints here and there, Ben literally saying new music is coming out soon, all these things point out to a release in the few months with Tulsa Jesus Freak coming very soon.

I never want to put bad energy to this thread but no, lana doesn't need a g*ddamn Grammy. They snubbed more than their share and its done. Shes beyond them and truly to think she needs their validation is beneath her value. She needs no one to sing her beauty and the Grammys can sure as shit suck it
  16. Blue Ink liked a post in a topic by Elle in Important Note Regarding Site Update - Please Read!
    Hi everyone,

I have an unfortunate update regarding the site software & server upgrade, and I've been going back and forth the past couple of days with if I should reach out to guys regarding this or handle it myself. Forgive me if my wording is a little jumbled here, I just feel really uncomfortable making this post.

We were unaware of this before starting the process, but $350 is needed to permanently upgrade our site & server.
Melly & I are able to contribute $50 each to this now, but I wanted to reach out to you guys to see if anyone would be willing to contribute to the remaining $250.
I know money is tight right now among everyone amidst the pandemic including myself, but I want to be able to bring this update to you all as soon as possible.

I absolutely hate having to request donations, but again I do want to provide you all with the promised update asap, which is why I decided to do a donation interest-check.

I mentioned in some of my other Site Update posts that in addition to new upcoming themes that will be available to everyone, I will also be creating other various new themes (including past-era themes) that will be exclusive for the Supporters 2.0 category along with other perks I'm going to explore once I see what options I have following the update. (right now, current Supporters 2.0 perks include a lavender nametag, expanded PM space, and larger profile picture upload size.)
That being said, I'm planning to revamp the Supporters 2.0 category to be a monthly low-cost fee rather than a one-time payment, similar to other forums's VIP systems. (as the reoccurring costs for the larger server will also be more expensive than they currently are)

So, as an incentive to donate to the $250 needed for the site/server upgrade, if you choose to donate now, you will receive these existing and upcoming benefits for LIFE, rather than the monthly Supporters 2.0 option we will be introducing.
(Everyone who is already in the Supporters 2.0 category from donating previously will also continue to receive the category's perks for life to be fair.)

Don't worry, LanaBoards will always continue to be a free forum for all Members, and all accesses that you have currently, whether it be in the standard Members or Supporters 2.0 category, will remain the same. There will just be some added bonuses in the revamped Supporters 2.0 member category.

I don't want to make it seem like I'm forcefully asking for donations, so if by this time next week the $250 goal has not been met, I will go ahead contribute whatever is missing so we can go forth with the update, and I'll worry about the money later.

If you are interested in donating, please DM the @@admin account.
Any amount would help, even if all you can give at the moment is a couple of dollars.
100% of any donation is going straight to the site/server fund, and I will lock the thread if/when the amount has been met.

Thank you all so much for your time reading, and I apologise endlessly for this unexpected hindrance.

    All my love always,
    Elle xx

If the era is going to have more visuals like the editorial pictures we're expecting from the Nicole Nodland shoot I feel like we might get the high quality MVs we're all hoping for. In the NFR era she already posted the homemade stuff in snippets so we kinda expected those terrible Chuck videos with her California besties, but this era everything feels more professional imo.
  18. Blue Ink liked a post in a topic by Elle in Lana shooting something at the Eric Lloyd Wright House + Complex in Malibu, CA - August 7th, 2020
Yesterday, Lana Del Rey was shooting something at the Eric Lloyd Wright House + Complex in Malibu, California.
On Thursday, Lana's hairstylist Sheridan Ward posted a throwback photo on Instagram captioned "Looking forward to seeing this lovely tomorrow" and also tagged Lana's makeup artist Pamela Cochrane in the post.
Yesterday, both Sheridan Ward and makeup artist Etienne Ortega, who has recently been doing Lana's makeup, posted photos & videos of the Eric Lloyd Wright House to their Instagram stories.
It is unknown whether the project is a photoshoot or video, or who was behind the camera. It is speculated to perhaps be Nicole Nodland due to her recent cryptic Instagram posts or one of the Grant siblings.
The location has been used for many celebrity projects, such as those including Kylie Jenner, G-Eazy, Rowan Blanchard, and Lara Worthington.

I know this is a weird thing to say, but I always wondered how Lana would be different if she had big boobs. Lana always had like a classic elegance about her. I think part of it was due to her being flat chested. she appeared to have a certain modestly mixed with sexiness. If she had big boobs would she still maintain that elegant image. Now her boobs are pretty big and she's actually is showing them off more. I wonder how that will change her image.

i feel the same, which isn't necessarily her fault she's not a natural born performer but even during LATTM she would add/change little things about the songs like black beauty and when she belted during cherry  i wish she would sing more like that in studio versions. she's able to do so much with her vocals and she makes these amazing melodies she just doesn't use them to their full potential as much anymore..

She used to balance the high and low SO well, and that's what I want back.
Like what she did in OTTR, Ride, Carmen, 24, honeymoon, and plenty more.

imo, It's like now she sings in a register that allows her to sing it live while zoning out and not putting actual effort in. Sometimes I think she barely put in any effort when recording the studio version too.
That's why I still wanna hear Yosemite so bad because she actually said it was challenging for her.
