No one thinks she's sacrificing homosexuals in the name of Lucifer.... Don't down play the situation by attempting to mock it and make us seem unreasonable. Yes, the main character in the novel is a pedophile and incredibly flawed, but this is never seen as acceptable (besides Humbert's desperate attempts to persuade the reader, and it works on some..). Nabokov is a beautiful writer, and the book is held in high regard because of his writing style and prose.
 
The subject matter is definitely not for the faint of heart. It is uncomfortable and infuriating, and that is the point of the novel. It is certainly taboo, but it is so well written and developed that it is a shame to skip it.

tea omg - like i dont think any form of pole dancing is whore ish but what lana was doing was cheap and easy and NOT proper pole dancing which is why it can be easily percieved as whorish - miss twigs on the other hand is a proffesional gymnast dancer athlete and pole dancer and has put her blood sweat and tears into perfecting her body art around the pole and for lana to swing around it gormlessly and lay on the floor like a dead fish next to the pole and try and act as if they're doing the same thing is CLOWNERY

I feel like Lana is a classic beauty and part of what makes her her is that she subscribes to a very traditional form of femininity in terms of her looks - even when she has on no makeup, she still radiates this sense of glamorous confidence in her womanhood; she feels beautiful inside and out (and she's always gorgeous no matter what!) <3
 
It's her hair and she can do whatever she pleases, of course,  but I have to say - I do think because of her classic feminine beauty in terms of her personal aesthetic, she will always have hair (and I do think her hair is too beautiful for her to be bald!) 
 
But I've loved every length she's had - her classic long hair, but also her shaggier UV cut, and I loved her hair in early 2018 - that lob was so cute!
