yup yup not saying I'm happy about it but it's kind of alt girl legend status when you think about it... Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Björk, PJ Harvey never won a grammy either

I would agree if Lana weren’t a collaborator on the album, and up until last year, would naturally have been on that stage anyways bc she would’ve been eligible for the Grammy.

Y’all at least Taylor won and gave Lana grace. Imagine if the other people won over them two…. 

It’s a bit disappointing to read things like Taylor bringing Lana up on stage and acknowledging her out of pity because I really don’t think that’s true. I get we’re upset that Lana didn’t win AOTY but I don’t believe that warrants putting the two of them up against each other or seeing them as higher vs lesser. We already covered this theme earlier in the night too — this constant need for fans to put two independent artists at contentious odds, creating drama out of nothing, etc. To me it’s clear Taylor wanted to share the spotlight with someone she felt deserved it. She didn’t need to drag Lana up there and some might argue shouldn’t have bc she wasn’t feeling it skdndjf but that’s another topic I just think it’s more than fair to give her the benefit of the doubt when she’s shown never ending support for Lana over the years

I do really wonder how this might change the direction of LDR 10.

Taylor clearly loves Lana a lot I don’t know why you guys keep wanting to push a false narrative  why would Lana go to the Grammys with Taylor if they weren’t friends 

she definitely did not and i dont know why anyone would think otherwise

I will say I hope she never says a word about critics or awards ever again they don’t deserve her time or energy, she has future classics to create.

I’m still surprised Taylor won. Not only bc I don’t think Midnights was not on par with folklore, Fearless, and 1989–but mainly bc I felt like they told her to make her announcement during the first award (which was sort of awkward) and would’ve been much more impactful and a “moment” if she announced it at the end of the show, and the Grammys should’ve told her as much. 

Not how I wanted it to go but I’m also not MAD about it obviously. I think even Taylor knew Lana deserved it.  

Yes pls let’s not forget that up until last year, Lana Del Rey would’ve been on that stage anyways for her work on Midnights. Lana deserved to be on that stage. Fuck the Grammys.
