Maybe the """"technical issues"""" are all part of the Masochism concept?

After reading these boards for years, watching endless footage of performances, I went in to the show tonight with very low expectations with the hopes of minimizing disappointment. And I have to say, she really did wonderfully. It was a very magical moment to FINALLY see her sing theses songs live after 10 years of stanning. It truly felt like one of those rare beautiful moments as a sky stan where it pays off. And god damn it was SOOOOO worth it. I hope we get an album someday, or any new releases at all, but seeing her tonight could easily tide me over for however many years that may take. That’s my fucking bitchhhhh.
Xoxo, Ferrari forever

I'm so fed up like, what's ha excuse now? I'd give anything to have new music from her. I'm so tired of this touring cycle as if she's going to drop something after the tour finishes... she's been touring for what now? Almost 3 years or so... SKY FERREIRA, WHAT NOW?

Sky Ferreira recently just reached 1kk monthly listeners on Spotiy.
It would certainly be a good time to keep up the sorta hype and release new music to increase it.
Cause in the past her numbers were really low.

Following multiple cancelled shows on the European leg including Oxford, Birmingham & Glasgow, Sky has cancelled/‘postponed’ her Dublin date which was previously moved to a smaller venue (1,500 capacity down to 500) on St Patrick’s day ( this was a major thing to happen as it is the busiest day for live events in the city).
I know that this is not really news to anyone anymore and is kind of expected but it’s just so sad. I was really shocked by the defensive responses online from fans towards ticket holders who expressed their disappointment.
These stans are still so defensive that everything is stacked against her with no album budget, label “holding her hostage”, venues “cancelling without telling her”, poor sales, unreleased music videos, touring promo flop, late to stage each night, alluding to mysterious illnesses, shows being cut short, set-list consisting of ten year old songs and covers, sore throat, sound issues every night
They we’re literally getting into fights with ticket holders.. it’s just so confusing that she has an ‘azealia banks beef list’ of odds and mysteries stacked against her and these people believe her to be blameless.
Its clear to me she’s just not in the right place mentally & physically to be touring and it’s extremely sad and painful as a fan to bear witness to but I mean come onnnnnn????

this is actually such a fascinating argument you can make here
on a certain level, von dutch and brat is just the usual result of charli doing something inauthentic and commercial for the previous project - vroom vroom and xcxworld happened as responses to sucker, the overcommerical and overproduced crash was a response to the super diy how i'm feeling now, and sonically whenever charli feels too far from home, its back to the clubs.
while uk pop music has been moving in a 90s/2000s dance/garage direction for the last few years (which she did acknowledge on crash with beg for you and selfish girl), technically even though they didnt deliver on it, both dua lipa and doja cat were talking about their next records being 90s rave inspired in like 2021. you can actually kinda hear the beginning stages of brat on 'what you think about me' on crash too, including what i think is a (sub)conscious interpolation of 'love me or hate me' by lady sovereign, which is kind of exactly the era that brat lives in.
when it comes to von dutch, it is technically par for the course "commercial" in a world where perfect (exceeder) is randomly back in the charts after 20 years - but von dutch 100% predates saltburn, and no one could have predicted perfect (exceeder) and murder on the dance floor to make such huge comebacks on the heels of that film - it kinda seems like in this case, instead of charli being ahead of her time or "chasing trends", the zeitgeist actually set itself up for the release of von dutch and she kinda got lucky that that particular synth sound became popular again with perfect exceeder at the exact right time
cool to think about
