Actually, it would be great if FJM wrote a song about hanging out with Lana's family, watching her at Coachella, and he could call it 'Coachella (Robster In My Mind)'

Jack gave us some major career highlights that's for sure but he has been working with Lana for so long and produced so many songs so it's just interesting and a bit refreshing seeing Lana working with a different producer and hearing a different production style than Jacks imo
And  some ppl like his production more than others but we can't deny we got some great songs and good albums. NFR and OB  became classics in here discography as they should

Actually I’m glad they’re now “warning” us of what’s to come because usually I’d buy impulsively and FOMO and then regret it later, now at least I can think if it’s worth it

I feel like there's two possibilities for the album sound:
 
1. It's a "compilation" album of just the country songs she said she recorded with Jack over these years (plus the new one(s) with Luke Laird) and she's keeping everything else post Ocean non country for the next one (LDR11) and that's why she straight up said it's a country album (I think it's the first time she actually describes her upcoming record with a specific genre. She said Chemtrails was folk/americana/country but not even herself was sure about it )
 
or
 
2. We're not getting a full on country album cause we're getting country + whatever new stuff she recorded after Ocean not necessarily with Lasso in mind.
 
I guess it depends on how long she had the Lasso idea for cause she's allegedly been working on the country stuff for years and we still got 3/4 non country albums so she must be writing with different records in mind (kinda like having Norman songs and Chemtrails songs on the same period).
 
My bet is that we're getting the second option. I'm sure she has some random songs she really likes that wants to put out as soon as possible and can't wait for 2 whole album cycles with vinyl and all 

Yeah. I don't think Lana is going back to rock. She always tries to do something different.
 
I hope after Lasso, she tries something like  trap, disco or electronica.
 
She should leave her piano ballads for when she's in her 40s and 50s. Looking at you, Blue Banisters.

Yeah. She's done Chemtrails, she's done BB, she's done Honeymoon.. We don't need another languid, slow-paced sad record. Like, don't go country if you're gonna be sad and think small.
 
 

That flop site didn’t even update the music page to put Country Roads in the ‘new music’ section, I highly doubt it means anything.

Ok but Cowboy Carter actually got me more excited for Lasso  Seeing Beyonce's take on country got me interested to see how Lana will take on the genre
I also highly agree on what Embach said. We should stop making it into a competition and stop pinning 2 talented, successful women against each other 

I had a dream I was buying Lasso...  
The cover was black and white again, but the background was purely white (or very light gray) she looked stunning and the font was red 

Oh see I love little droplets. It keeps the fans fed and doesn’t put pressure on her to follow up with anything big big! The droplets keep it interesting in between album cycles. Plus SYTH was high requested so that’s one less song fans have to ask for and I love country roads so I’d rather get it in droplet from than not get it at all. 
 
I do think a festival song would be cute but I think if shes gonna release anything it’ll be the first Lasso single, it’s almost 5 months from the album and that’s usually when she releases the first song (LMYLAW October- COTCC March) (BB/WW/TB May - BB October) idk it feels like first single time is approaching

I have a feeling Lana's album will be compared to Beyoncé's album and that's gonna annoy the fuck out of me once it's out. Just bc they're both doing country

i really don’t care about the beyonce comparisons or the fact that lasso is going to be released close to beyonce’s album. if lana wanted lasso to shine on its own, we would have to wait another year, and even in 2025, big artists are expected to release albums. country is like the biggest genre this year so she’s inevitably going to be compared to other country artists, not just beyonce. it’s unfortunate lana’s albums won’t really have a chance to shine on its own, but they have the potential to be a hit and one of the biggest albums released in the year

I don't think so. She's said herself the industry was going country, so she was well aware of this trend when she announced the album. As per the general public, maybe they'll be tired of the sound when the record comes out, but it's not like Lana needs them either lol

It doesn’t matter to me, in fact the artists going country prior are actually putting my mind at ease a bit at what country can be.. because I was really concerned about what sound we could get 
 
people will likely say she’s following trend but I know she’s not so it doesn’t matter to me what others think.. she gets dragged over something every album cycle anyway!
