Well tomorrow is the beginning of a business week so here’s my theory:
 
Monday - album cover + tracklist reveal, announces that we can pre-order the album the next day 
 
Tuesday - pre-order goes live, limited edition vinyls & cassettes revealed with CDs and potentially some special edition bundles; album trailer posted to YouTube and her IGTV
 
Wednesday - Potential Urban Outfitters limited edition cover and/or coloured vinyl announced and available for pre-order 
 
Thursday - Music video (either the one shot yesterday/today or ones filmed by Chuck/Charlie) drops; 9 PM PST / Midnight Friday EST record drops
 
Friday - Lana on social media posts her thank you’s and announces album release event with the Record Parlour
 
Next week - potential performance on Stephen Colbert’s late night show 
 
2nd week of September - Album release event at The Record Parlour

While I know I’ve had many a theory (that haven’t proven themselves to be right LOL!) I think the album is still coming September 4th/5th and she’ll announce things on Monday, August 31st.
 
I think she has to announce an album on a weekday in the morning PST because that seems to be when every artist drops major news or announcements about a release - I guess it has to do with a business standpoint and protocol. 
 
The source code says pre-order, and now that we’ve ruled out a surprise release (after yesterday hehe), I think everything will just come next week.
 
My guess is that she’ll reveal the cover + tracklist on Monday, and then the pre-order will go live on Tuesday, and then on Thursday a music will drop with the album coming out the following midnight (she did this with the Doin Time video, it came out the morning of August 29th before NFR’s August 30th release). 
 
I think she’s shot more than one video, a homemade one with Charlie for TJF and the one today, if it is in fact, a video, and not for the VMAs. 
 
I’m excited! Everything’s coming together!

something is definitely happening today. doubt it'll be the album on digital but I'd love to be proven wrong.

I DMed Lana on Insta asking if she's planning to drop COCC this Saturday or the next and she didn't answer. The surprise release confirmed, the sis is keeping it a secret tryna trick us 

Wait, did you all see that tweet of Jack saying something like "take the sadness of a Saturday night"? Sept 5th is Saturday and tomorrow (the day the hairdresser teased) is also a Saturday. What if she's doing things on Saturday because it's about a line she really likes from the album?

REVELATION POST INCOMING/REALLY IMPORTANT THEORY so please hear me out; 
 
Maybe her releasing the album on a Saturday wasn't a miscommunication, but rather an act of rebellion - and symbolic in the sense that it is redemption for Saturday Night Live in 2012, which can be coupled with her Question for the Culture post. Also, with the album's strategic release date being redemptive of SNL, it also ties in with Tulsa Jesus Freak when we interpret redemption as a biblical thing.  Also note Jack tweeting variants of "take the sadness out of Saturday night" - teasing Lana lyrics that deal with her feelings regarding the whole SNL debacle and its unfortunate attribution  to her image early on in her career? The decision to release the album on a Saturday would be really clever on her part for the aforementioned reasons.
 
Sheridan said "3 days and 4 midnights to go" - maybe that means one thing is coming once 3 days have passed (August 26, 27, 28) and once 4 midnights have occurred (August 26, 27, 28, 29). The album could be coming on Saturday, August 29th then. Sheridan's post made it seem like it was a surprise planned with his use of emojis - what better surprise than an album that Lana said she wanted to release as a surprise! It would also line up with NFR's 1 year anniversary and then qualify for the 2021 Grammy's, which could also be Lana's way of saying that no matter what kind of album she releases, her music is of a very high calibre, which again, relates back to the Question for the Culture. 
 
Call me delusional (which I probably am), but we know Lana Del Rey loves a good full-circle, super metacognitive and metaphorical moment - well, this could be it!
