Well, a tiring week of work in which the Blue Banisters kept me company - And the more I listen to this album, the more I like it. This album is certainly vying for second place in my rankings with the NFR, after Ultraviolence and before Honeymoon.
 
My girlfriend, who is a casual listener, loved the album, especially "Cherry Blossom" and "Sweet Carolina" - She's a mother now so I think these songs spoke directly to her in a very emotional way. And my father called me this morning to thank me for the CD I bought him - Is it that or he will "steal" my CD's  - and to say he loved the album and couldn't stop listening to it. His favorite songs are "Arcadia", "Dealer" and "If You Lie Down With Me".

Re: the discussion of songs being about Clay —Sure, there are little references to him here and there (maybe two, in all honesty), but I really think this record is about her recalibrating her life after her breakup with Sean. I think the end of that relationship brought a lot of change in her life — good and bad — and this whole record explores that. We see her dig deep into her family karmic lineage and how that translates into her interpersonal relationships, we see her battle inner disruptiveness caused by family-of-origin trauma and how that translates into the public’s projection onto her. I think the end of that relationship was significant and not at all frivolous, based on how she talked about it in her livestream, and how we can see notes of that appear in the songs, the themes of which we can trace back to events in her life that we’ve been privy to over the last 2 years. It’s a beautifully dense record.

Although I had already done my track rating in the pre-release thread, over the past few days I've already shuffled all these songs again. lol  And at the moment I find myself attached to this masterpiece: "If You Lie Down With Me."

Okay, completely bawling my eyes out after Sweet Carolina. Seriously, crying like a baby right now, so I'm fighting back tears as I write this.
 
This is probably a bit personal for me to share, but I spoke about it a little bit ago last month when I shared a GoFundMe link for something regarding this.
 
At the beginning of this year in January, one of my best friends announced an unexpected pregnancy with her fiancé. Our friends & I were surprised, but told her we were there to support her through every step.
As a bridesmaid, I watched her walk beautifully down the aisle to marry her husband in June, knowing their baby would be shortly on the way. Was fighting back tears then too. (& didn't do a very good job at it based on the pictures.)
I then got to attend her baby shower in August, reveling in her excitement and nervousness. I even helped her set up the crib afterwards. She was so scared, not feeling completely prepared, but she was so excited for her new child.
She gave birth to her lovely baby boy on August 28th after a 48-hour labour. A perfectly healthy baby. She was so happy and we were all happy for her, and it was the beginning of a new chapter.
I don't even know how to write this next part, again as I'm still crying here, but her son unfortunately passed away just 9 days later in her arms suddenly from SIDS. She had texted me in the middle of the night about it as her son was airlifted to the hospital.. not really having much hope from the doctors.. until he was eventually declared braindead.
It was like the world had completely shattered in front of all of our eyes.
Some friends flew in for the funeral, and seeing her once more walk down an isle.. this time completely heartbroken and empty inside.. I don't think anything has ever broken my heart more.
The first time I saw her since the funeral was two weeks ago when her, her sister, and I went up to the mountains for a little birthday celebration for me. She was laughing and having fun, showing a little of that old side of her joyous self that had been completely wiped away after the tragedy she faced. 
I love her so much, and this song makes me think of her.

It's because the part about "run away from the police" doesn't apply anymore, as we know. lol  So only the bathing suit remained. She's a coherent queen! 

The Dreams Meaning: 
 
This dream means that Ashley - I had to research who she is - will take a long break to take care of personal matters, and when she finally decides to resume her career, people will say "Halsey who?". And then she will not be able to recover her success, she will go bankrupt and she will have to work as a waitress to pay her bills. And apparently only you will know who she is.
