In celebration of the first leg of the Did you know that there's a tour around the world? coming to an end, let's take a look at some of the top moments from the past three months --

Lana's return to the big stage

After years of pandemic and playing as a guest to Nikki Lane at some country festivals across the US, Lana returned to the big stages as the world superstar she is. She chose Brazil, where fans have been some of the most loyal and loving to her since the "Video Games" days, and did not disappoint: not only she introduced a new set of players, dancers and backup singers, but also surprised us with a theatrical, high-concept show and delighted us with live debuts of her latest record and, most shockingly, rare Ultraviolence bonus track "Flipside".

"It's time, it's time to go": Lana getting escorted out of Glastonbury

Lana's highly-anticipated return to the United Kingdom caused controversy in casual Del Rey fashion. She was 25-30 minutes late and, despite giving a tremendous show with amazing vocals and stage presence, the iconic festival had to turn off her lights and mic due to curfew. For them, the show was over, but fans broke the rules and started singing "Video Games" acapella while Lana stepped down the stage to meet every single person at the front row. It was an epic scene and, at the end of the day, she took the W as the press applauded her.

"Chemtrails Over the Country Club" live debut

It wasn't until the fourth show of the tour -- in Italy, specifically -- that Lana decided to acknowledge her pandemic album Chemtrails and introduced what is arguably the highlight of the show. The ethereal track is accompanied by playful choreography and a delightful vocal performance by Lana (usually with shade thrown here and there towards her ex); it's simply beautiful to watch.

"Ocean Blvd", the tear-jerker that you are

The title track of Lana's latest album is usually placed as second-to-last or final song of the show, making it more emotional than it already is. However, her band and singers susprised the writer of the ballad herself with an unexpected extended outro in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Emotional new arrangements were added, vocals strong and high a la "The Great Gig In The Sky" -- the result was powerful and even made Lana tear up.

    Things got intimate in Paris

World-renowned festivals and sold-out arenas aside, Lana's return to Paris had an intimate approach: she played at the iconic L'Olympia with a limited capacity of nearly 3,000 people. In full Parisian princess mode with a long Zimmerman dress, lucky fans who were able to get tickets got to see the singer right in front of them no matter where they were in the venue. There was no "Paris, Texas", though.

A second chance in the UK

After her much-discussed Glastonbury set, Lana absolutely destroyed the nay-sayers with a memorable performance at Hyde Park in London. "Hyde Park had seen nothing like this," The Guardian stated in their 5-star review, complimenting her "transformative power" and describing the set as "electrifying". All 60,000 fans left more than satisfied after witnessing Lana Del Rey history.

    "It's just another folk song"

When Lana was announced as a performer at the legendary Newport Folk Festival (where Joni Mitchell sang on a wheelchair last year), fans were doubtful whether her set was appropiate for the event. Songs like "Cherry" or "Born to Die", with sensual choreography and pop grandeur, screamed panned on arrival. However, she surprised the audience with a rather folk-y, piano-driven set, opening with "Norman fucking Rockwell" and "Arcadia". She also invited Jack Antonoff to play "For Free" and "Mariners Apartment Complex" (requested by fans), Nikki Lane for their country duet "Breaking Up Slowly" and even concluded the show with a conceptual performance of "Hope is a dangerous thing...", a song she only played once in 2019. The special setlist, bright sunlight and blue water just steps from the stage made this a memorable Lana Del Rey concert.

    Lanapalooza

Del Rey is no stranger to Lollapalooza: she's headlined the festival in Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Santiago, Paris, Stockholm and now Chicago. Met with universal acclaim, her dramatic set was perfect to close Sunday night, attracting the biggest audience of the weekend.

"That's why the call me Lanita!"

Lana finished the first leg of the tour with two sold out dates at the legendary Foro Sol Stadium in Mexico. Over 130,000 people were lucky to witness improvised performances of fan-favorites "Cinnamon Girl" and "Get Free", with Lana in full braid mode, with a veil, red flowers on her head and red lipstick. Despite the "domino effect" caused in the crowd due to constant pushing and jumping, the show was an absolute event in the country. Her Guadalajara and Monterrey shows are yet to be confirmed.
