we're living in a world where we're pushing inclusivity and self-love yet i feel like i often see people speaking about her appearence, it's honestly sick, in a world where photoshop & toxic beauty standards are rampant, she keeps it real & geniune and that's honestly very rare with celebrities, we shouldn't nitpick over stuff that's ultimately not a big deal

I saw like 5+ new pages and really thought something happened but it was just people with awful takes. You really think that Lana is lazy cause the production is simple? So I guess every folk artist is lazy as fuck .  C'mon I understand that maybe not everyone liked the new singles but calling Lana lazy? The same person that is putting out albums almost every year? Go touch some grass

Not only is it upsetting, it's actually pretty vile and understandable why she hardly talks to anyone anymore.

some of the people here have SUCH a problem with saying shit about every aspect of her life, even saying shit about her appearence, nitpicking about her highlights or discussing her weight, it's really invasive and weird... i just feel like there's hardly any compassion towards her, it's honestly really upsetting

Can y'all fucking stop with this? Y'all did this during the Honeymoon era, and you're doing it again now. Weight fluctuates. Who gives a fuck. The state of the world is in fucking turmoil right now and all you care about is her weight and diagnosing her with a mental illness that you "heard" from someone?

I still wish that we'd gotten something similar to her Interview Magazine video/shoot from September of last year for last era or this era. Everything about that was a 10/10 for me, and it matched up so well with the pictures/videos of her wearing pearls and reading Violet (and the birds Instagram story post). Part of me still thinks it could make a comeback for this era, but I really don't know what to expect from BB anymore lol. Weirdly enough, it doesn't feel like the three singles were the start to the era for me, but more so a precursor to it

I'm starting to think this album will have nothing to do with revenge, I'm getting the feeling it's the same situation when she describes her next album and it end up sounding nothing like she said
my expectations for this album is honestly at the lowest bar possible right now, even though I'm still in love with the 3 singles I just don't think she's gonna pull half of the things we're expecting in terms of revenge and such, only the "I'm telling my own story" thing seems legit

This poor song has no moment to shine on NFR, and its truly one of her best - in either form.

i was listening to this album yesterday and it was a beautiful experience, i love this album and it's very special, there isn't anything quite like it, i totally agree that this album is like a kaleidoscope, every track is unique and they all serve a purpose, and although some tracks are similar in their song/style, they're all different, they all fit together perfectly, it's hard to pick a favorite when they all have something great about them, every track on this album has a specific feel & vibe, they are full of life & they're all multi-fauceted, they have depth and the album is just oozing in nostalgia, something i love about this album is the contrast between yayo and the rest of the album, the album is very colorful, bright, vibrant, and filled with life, and yayo is very subdued in it's sound and production, it's definitely the most "melancholic" sounding track of this album, it's confessional, vulnerable, hopeful, and hopeless, you can feel the pain and the vulnerability in her voice and in the production yet there's a sense of hope in this track, it's a very deep song in that way, when you listen to this track you can just tell it's something very special and very personal, and although i feel like it's different from the quirky, colorful album itself, it fits very well, amidst all of the liveliness and color, this track shows a different side of lizzy, it's lizzy at her most vulnerable, hopeful, and heartfelt, it's the perfect closing track and this is the perfect album

Michelle Zauner/Japanese Breakfast includes a line about Lana in her memoir, Crying in H Mart.
In summary, her friend Duncan was working a cover story on Lana for the Fader during the UV era. Duncan tells Japanese Breakfast that Lana was recording the entire interview on her iPhone and was chain smoking like crazy, and JB admired that. I found it interesting that it's included in this memoir since its focus is about her mother dying and her Asian-American identity. The aspects of her music career in this memoir are very much secondary.
Tonight, I happened to run into an NPR article where Lana said she hated that interviewer for goading her.

LMAO BoZ on Twitter also said that the reason he doesn’t really spill on her is because even if he did she would probably change it a few days later anyways and he’d seem unreliable JSNSJXNSKAKSNEJSNSNSNSN it’s just too funny

kinda hoping for a deluxe version of this album honestly with the cute little tracks that didn't necessarily feel at home on the standard tracklist, i mean a deluxe version brought us Florida Kilos - one of my faves ever - so here's hoping

I think we need to accept the fact that there's going to be a lot of silence from her around this album. I really think this is her revenge. Not so much against the fans, but her conflict with the media is important and if we have to deal with a lack of info as a result I'm all here for it. Her words have been twisted for her entire career, so I respect her for releasing really powerful and personal music and now refusing to say anything about it. If she can't speak without being attacked for everything she says, then let her silence make the statement.

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think this was exactly the way she wanted us to feel regarding this release. Maybe it’s her way of getting back at all the crazy stans who bug her and everyone associated with her online.
