Can we all just pause and take a moment to appreciate being a stan of Lana during this generation? A time future generations will look back on and wish they could be like us, currently stanning Lana in the prime of her success? I think it's so amazing tbh. We've seen Lana come a long way and now she's doing a campaign with Gucci, one of the biggest designers in the WORLD. Maybe I'm just a little emotional right now (for other reasons) but I think it's so cool how in years to come, other teens/adults will look up to Lana as an icon (like, literal definition) and we all got to enjoy these moments together, something other people in many many years to come won't be able to experience.

I think it's pretty obvious she's talking about men she had a love affair or at least a very strong friendship and how they "faded away". John seems to impersonate the BtD era, Jim is quite UV-ish. Then, in the end, both men have "disappeared" and she's  lived her life. She's got a kid now, she's got a house, she's got a career - she's settled. Yet, she still thinks about those old days. And I feel like the last chorus is adressed at either the fictional kid or a new lover - she assures him, she WON'T fade, like her past lovers.

How to disappear is so tragically hopeful and such a amazing mesh between singing with a smile but knowing you were hurt during those times, like the first two verses are so low and sad then you get hit with that hopefulness of being okay in that ending verse with the reassurance of not leaving the person you love. Like this song is astronomicaly better then her lfl piano balad. Like how can you hate on it her vocals LIVE makes me feel the same way as being unconditionally in love with someone

VB isn't a ballad in its final state and yet they chose only a piano arrangement for the live. My guess is that it'll be Heroin level lowkey pretty. Kinda minimalistic kinda makes your heart melt

Remember how Lana said that she records a song right after she writes it because she loves the song the most at that moment and so the vocals would be natural and sung with true passion.
I think this thing is the same with her posting snippets. Right after they have a little instrumental done, like a demo, she teases the song because she loves them so much at that moment 
Think about it, she teased white mustang a lot, which was written later, she teased cherry which was also written in like march, she teased change which was the last track of the record, she always teases the most recent tracks that she writes for an album. 
 
Exceptions are HIAB and Sylvia...she probably teased Sylvia because of Sylvia Plath's actual birthday that was in about few days,and I think HIAB was one of the first songs written for NFR but she still teased it anyway 'cause the ''tour life'' lyrics were relevant at that time for her fanbase.
 
But overall, she always teases the last songs that she produces for an album, or it looks so to me 

No disrespect to Lana's backup dancers, but honestly this really makes me miss her solo performances. I'm not sure what it is, but I feel so much more connected to her when she's performing alone like this.  
Also, How to Disappear is absolutely gorgeous. 

i think its so cute how lana still gets nervous about performing even after being in the business for almost 7 years. really shows celebrities are humans and not perfect robots
