on first listen i was wondering why the last track sounded so familiar, then i listened again with the album on repeat and after the transition from IWFYTC to MIMA i realized

I just hate how you can't be remotely interesting in your lyrics or art anymore without being labelled "problematic" or some shit. It seems that this modern day cancel culture powered by kiddies on tik tok and twitter is going to be the death of artistic expression. It's too black and white. And about the CP thing, that was debunked anyway, but she's made a career out of taking inspiration from a book about incest but that doesn't mean she supports incest. The reposts of blood and gore stuff isn't that weird either. I think when you're an artist you find meaning and symbolism in lot's of different things, no matter how uncomfortable or grotesque it is. Dind't she say that most of the dark topics and imagery were just a reflection of her depression? It's not a reflection of her.

i completely missed all of the drama that happened with her a couple years ago but i’ve been reading as many old posts about it as i can find, and it really rubs me the wrong way when people say that she fetishized EDs, want to cancel her for reblogging th*nspo, etc… it’s very tasteless and ignorant. anyone who has struggled with stuff like that, or knows anyone who has, knows it’s a mental illness; a lot of people who have EDs do “romanticize” it because it is a mental illness. it’s very complex, it’s hard to explain unless you have been in that mindset yourself before. and unless you do get proper treatment, it also rubs me the wrong way how i saw people saying that she “only had an ED for a year” and then went on to keep talking about it—that’s not how it works for most people. it doesn’t just go away. i think people need to leave her alone lol. a lot of the criticism about her from that angle seemed to be coming from people who want to bring attention to mental health, but who have no idea what the mind of someone with an eating disorder is like and how mental health plays the biggest role on that side of things. i’m very defensive about that stuff, it’s actually probably for the better i didn’t know that was happening when it was lol i would’ve put some people in their place

I feel like I'm not well enough informed on the topic, but from what I know, the weirdest thing she did was reblogging lots of gore and unnerving pictures, which isn't immoral.. just weird. The CP allegations weren't true and apparently she did apologize for her past behavior and is definitely doing a lot better.
 
Claiming that she "fetishized" ED is really weird though because everything she has written on that topic is from her own personal experience and struggles, her first few albums were literally written when she was hospitalized for it. Also I know a lot of this information about how shes problematic circulates from tiktok, which, tiktok is really not a reliable source of information
