In shock it’s been 10 years, I remember the day clearly. It was hot, I bought a blue hydrangea and drank Jack Daniels’s whilst I played the record in my parents back yard.

I wish I was a fan during this era, I came a bit late to it in 2017 lol but I was so amazed by the music videos and Sad Girl and Old Money were stuck in my head for so long after listening to the album
The music videos and outtakes for this era are some of her best imo, I mean Pink Champagne, Madly, Cult Leader, Earthquakes, Dragonslayer, etc.
If she ever made another album similar to Ultraviolence I would be so happy lol

Happy Birthday to the best album ever made ❤️ I always say that I’m a fan since 2012/13 but honestly it was Ultraviolence that made me really start to stan Lana and I’m so glad. I still remember going back home in the bus in high school when a friend of mine sit right next to me and told me “have you seen that Shades of Cool leaked??” And I was like omg no way and we listened it together 😭 then I saved up some money to buy the CD and when I got it begged my grandma to let me listen to it in the car lol.
Personally I’m not even exaggerating when I say UV shaped me into the person I am today, it truly was a crucial point for me. Im still gagged when I see the West Coast and Shades of Cool videos.
Thank you Lana and thank you Ultraviolence for all these years together, happy birthday you legend.

One of the first albums that shaped me into who i am today 
still speaks to me on a deeper lever after all those years , with the meaning of each song changing and evolving as i mature every year 
for me it captures the feeling of melancholy so well from the lyrics to the imagery , it is one of her most well crafted albums to date imo

In 2015, I got a tattoo that said "ultraviolence" on my collarbone. I wanted my own font so I removed the serifs from a free blackletter font. Nine years later, I'm having my final exam of the best type design master in the world in a week... UV changed my life. It will always be my favourite album universe
