lana probably still has anxiety surrounding being on live television (which is totally understandable, we are all well aware of how it went for her early in her career) so if she's more comfortable doing a pre-recorded show, i think that's perfectly fine, it's still a video of lana singing a new take of the song, it's just more "produced"

I'll take anything  Just the fact that I got to see her perform a song for this era was amazing. Some people really don't see how much she spoils us and it's really ungrateful 

Not sure why people are surprised when her last TV performance (Let Me Love You Like a Woman) was exactly like this. Prerecorded. It was a nice enough clip for what it was.

Today was an all around win, I don't care about the nitpicky bullshit  Going to sleep now because I've been awake for 19 hours and only slept for three last night. See you all tomorrow 

I really liked the performance! She looked wonderful and the noir feel of it all with her singing interlaced with close-ups of the studio was gorgeous!  

Loved the performance . . . love the conviction she has in the delivery. And the delivery of her voice so much stronger and confident. I wonder, ten years on, who still dismisses her because of how she sounded once from earlier TV performances. Proud of her and feeling very happy to be a Lana fan today.

Wow people really have become so comfortable critiquing every single little thing Lana does and doesn't do. From her hair clip to her performance. I wonder why is that 
She sounded and looked great, it was prerecorded (which is common nowadays), get over it. I don't understand why people (especially fans) hold Lana to a higher standard than everyone else as if she owes you anything.

Lana could have just easily not promote BB at all and has any appearances if she truly lacks effort. But she sang live in the pre-recorded performance. She looks cute. She’s serving vocals. And some of you still bitch about her saying she lacks effort and she doesn’t look good. I can’t with this  
 
If you want a performer that puts on expensive outfits and dance around during every live performance, go and stan someone else. It’s not Lana. Never has been. Never will be. 

Yeah, I don't know what's the more annoying Lana complaint: the lazy complaint, the weight/psychological diagnosis that they attribute from behind their computer screens without any psych background complaint or the ballad complaint

All of these are annoying but the complaints about her weight (and looks in general) is just unacceptable. Who cares if she’s gained weight? What matters is she’s happy and healthy. But of course some of us here love to dissect every part of her body, appearance and fashion like they’re perfect and as if their opinion is objective

The first words that came to mind for me were 'Lithium' and 'Mother'.

"As a critic myself, of all things, this album was for the critics whereas every other album was for myself and even though that sounds kind of cringe, I think that that's okay because people talk about chronic over explainers, but the thing about it is it if you feel you wanna explain yourself over and over again, you have the right to do that until you feel like you've been seen. Because the way I see it is that the best gift someone can give you in your intimate circle is just to bear witness to your journey and to your life, and I think if your life is public and you're a sensitive writer, addict, of all myriads of things, you want to explain yourself. & There's something else I want to mention as a chronic over explainer to some women out there. if you feel that you haven't been understood right and you get angry, there's always a place for a woman to get angry because if you don’t, you just go right into grief. That's the way I see it anyways. & it's awkward to be furious, but there's space to be furious, and of course in my album I'm not so much angry as I am explaining - except in dealer where I am furious. But I just want to say it's okay to go out on a limb and look ridiculous just because you are angry. It's always worth it, even if you feel like you’re worng. You’re right because if it's right for you to say certain things then that's just the way it is and that resinates way beyond being a singer. People can be really tough on you where you just think, why am I doing it? But the truth is I got a lot of other things I love to do that I'm going to do. I don’t plan on letting anyone's opinions spoil that. I always felt like the least controversial person in turtlenecks and all that but yet everything seemed so complicated. But what I've learned, whether you’re a singer or you’re working in a flower shop or whatever it may be - we all have our own life path and we can all see our own patterns come up over and over again and only you know what your pattern is. My album has explained what my patterns have been, but I haven't so much gone into where I want to go because I'm not sure if I can get there yet. what I've learned is when you follow your own life's path, you heal up to 7 generations forward - and in mentioning that I wanted to say that to you all as my vast employer, you are my employer, I want to thank you because we've already given $300k to a Navajo nation and we do have $700k yet to spread around which I intend to supervise personally because I want to make sure ----" (it went quiet) x

Ok so something that stuck out to me was her saying that there may only be an IYLDWM video, and she really framed it as a maybe. I was SO sure that we would be getting more MVs from the arcadia alt MV set, and what craig stark posted on insta. Unless that's for something else down the road? I'm super thankful for everything she's given us, but I hate being wrong about my theories lol
