4:10-8:39. Imagine Lana creating something similar to this...

Yeah we've had enough info, now we need actual content from Lana. I want a new single but a MV from the title track or the tracklist would be enough for me at this point

people who listen to the unreleased songs on spotify are dumbasses, they're just giving random people money for Lana's song
and YTH is not even worth it

i want to say something as i tend to lurk and not say much.. following the NFR discourse earlier, i have to say - i loved cinnamon girl’s snippets and i was extremely disappointed by the end result because of the version i had in my head from the combined snippets that someone had compiled on youtube, and that when i played the album for the first time i rolled my eyes and said to my friend ‘every song sounds the same’ (i was young, naive and not nearly as musically intelligent as i am now)
but i remember just hearing loads of piano and getting tired of it (i also didn’t like UV or HM on first listen lol but i loved LFL and paradise and BTD)  but the album grew on me completely after about a year and it’s now in my top albums by her.. anyway, i stopped listening to her after i first heard NFR (because i didn’t like it and i was mad about the pre release taking so long lol) but when chemtrails single came out i discovered lanaboards and my love for lana came back even stronger, and i honestly love NFR’s production even though yes it is slightly muted, and i like the concept of COCC and how it started, not so much the folk journey but the standout tracks to me being the first 3 tracks, DBJAG and yosemite.. and i feel like i’m one of the few that actually likes jacks production. and i was actually excited when i saw he was going to be on DYK.
i love love ultraviolence and i have accepted that we will never get another one because she has evolved as an artist and she isn’t in that headspace anymore, but i do agree with people saying that HM has the most lush and rich instrumentals, which i agree with.
when i listened to tunnel i had just come back from winter wonderland in london and it was just perfect timing in my life, and it’s the first lana track since chemtrails TT that i have been OBSESSED with and probably one of my most played songs by her. it’s been on repeat both in my head and by my throat and i was so excited about BB, it was my first pre release on LB as a non lurker, and i was so so excited for songs like Thunder (one of my fav unreleaseds) and i ended up loving it and it did honestly have a massive place in my heart in 2021 with my ex, it was just on repeat. text book and bbs were among my favorites and i do love it but now that it’s been out for a while and i’ve had time to reflect upon it, i did crave a bit more. tunnel is just everything i’ve wanted from lana for ages. the haunting melancholic sound with the orchestral beautiful strings meeting piano.. it’s just beautiful. i’m so so excited for this project and i follow this thread religiously and i’m so happy to be here with you all!

Listening to Riopy's last album and...

I know Lana's aware of all the piano haters. And that's exactly why she brought in renowned piano composers to show yall exactly wtf a piano can REALLY do.  She about to eat yall asses up and im so here for it.

you guys i don’t think eclipse has the album

if he did have the album, 100% he would be  teasing the shit out of it. and also why would he make a new account to spill all of this info if this would all lead back to him  makes no sense

just because Kintsugi came out of nowhere and types like someone who knows lanaboards in and out/has been here before lmao but i’m not sold I don’t think he is… although it would be a very good way to spill despite the cease and desist

Yeah. Until the release of the album in March, she'll probably have written half of LDR10.

Anyway, if fingertips is as dense and wordy as Lana says and Erickson has somehow managed to make it work, then he should win every single Producer of the Year award next year.  And given that both Kintsugi and BOZ love it, I guess the Erickson haters will be in shambles next March.

I went a few pages back and, I gotta say, I’m positively surprised to see so many people say they won’t listen if the album leaks early. I had the impression that everyone would listen to album leaks when I joined in 2017, glad to see the attitude has changed a little, even if it’s only for this time.

BOZ recently dragged Erickson to filth for his production on Arcadia, so him stanning fingertips hard is the gag of the decade.

Anyway, I am still trying to get used to that Grandpa deep frying title, lol.

Yeah, Tunnel is crystal clear on any system I use to listen to music. Either BB was extremely rushed, or whoever mixed it needs to be terminated and never touch another Lana record again.

Don’t y’all notice the difference with Tunnel’s mixing?

Miles better than anything on BB. There’s actual attention to detail in the mixing.
Wasn’t Cali mixed by Zach Dawes etc.?

Yeah, whoever mixed Drew's tracks on Blue Banisters needs to be fired. I can barely hear Arcadia on any system that isn't my car listening to the CD or headphones  Aux? I have to turn that shit all the way up to even hear anything. Never happened with any Lana song before Blue Banisters

Beautiful was whatever but Arcadia and specially IYLDWM were amazing. I'm a proud Drew stan

He also arranges for FJM and they nail it every time. I think the problem with Beautiful is that Drew works better when doing full orchestras (or at least some strings) so a lone piano didn't let him shine (even though the tinkling was pretty).

i have (some) faith in drew ... i enjoy his work with lana (most of it) and if boz likes it but didn't like his tracks on BB then i feel like there's something better or different about them

we also only have the writing credits (i think!) so it's possible there are multiple producers on drew & lana songs – like there are more producers on ocean blvd than just mike hermosa – which would be different from BB. we'll have to see about that one though

Wait that’s such a good point

I just looked at his credits/discography to get a hint at which direction she could be leaning toward, and it’s tough to tell! I saw plenty of country, but there’s quite a bit of traditional pop and singer-songwriter works as well!

Maybe hearing the entirety of of TUOB will give us a clue

It’s actually the opposite 💀 Lana told Annie Mac that she “really really wanted more from Jack” and said elsewhere that she encouraged Jack to go “wilder” with the production (which I guess certainly doesn’t help lessen the often unwarranted hate for Jack here lol) - but I guess it might have been difficult to be on the same page since they were apart as Chemtrails was being finalized during the early pandemic (Lana in LA and Jack in NY).

Drew is very hit or miss for me so far. Don't love his work with Lana, don't hate it either
