I adore the distorted oceanic vibes of Neil's complementary work for the album's artwork. And the fact that he shot these photos last spring means that Lana knew what she wanted in terms of visuals. Doesn't the track with the long title mention something sea-related, as well?

What intrigues me is that BOZ said that the album is fucking wild, and I kinda doubt that his description is solely based on a specific track's soundscape (apparently A&W). Didn't he say that he needed to listen to the Tommy Genesis "feat." (lol) a bit more in order to talk about it? Hopefully this means that it's a strange experimental track...Antonoff was hyping it a lot on Tommy's IG.

He did! But he also did say that he wanted the album to be called The Grants, so I guess that it must be a pretty major track in Lana's discography.

    my predictions to track lenghts:
    The Grants: 5:30-5:50
Sweet: 3:40-3:55 (one of the shortest full tracks but not expecting being really short)
    A&W: 7:20-7:40

I am now intrigued by the collaboration with Jon Batiste.

I thought BoZ confirmed that there isn't a longer edition of Ocean Blvd

    I predict for side A:
    The Grants: 5:45-6:20
    Sweet: 2:45-3:01
    Ocean Blvd: 4:45
    A&W: 7:40~

This album is going to smash. Ocean Blvd outshining both Arcadia and LMLYLAW three weeks out combined. Despite having zero promo.

I perceive a strong gospel vibe in this album... The backing singers on the title track and the presence of Jon Batiste make it even better.

It hadn’t even crossed my mind that Sweet Carolina will transition into The Grants. Your mind @bluechemtrails !!! I absolutely love when she does this (such as with LFL to NFR).

Like @salvatorelovesyou mentioned, I’m really curious what the closer will sound like, particularly with Lana deliberately mentioning to W Magazine that she gives an “Old Hollywood style” goodbye and thank-you at the end of her records.

Also, it’s interesting thinking about her “goodbye” comment in the context of Sweet Carolina considering that the last line was, “Closer to you than your next breath, my dear.”

I definitely will be paying attention to the closer for TUOB

I’m really interested to see why (iirc) BoZ had such positive remarks about this track. Didn’t he also say that he wished the album would have been titled The Grants, or was that someone else?

Maybe unrealistic but I like the idea of it being almost sonically divided (while still maintaining cohesion) to represent the different people in her family as the song progresses. I’m imagining this quirky flow of production elements that all come together to make something full and pretty. We’ll see!

It's not a stretch, but it's also not in your face obvious as "I just ride," "candle in the wind," "Blue," "I love you," nor is it exploring a very similar theme or idea; it's actually the complete opposite in meaning from Norman? and exactly what @Mer said
