i think everyone is hyping themselves up too much about the new record. neil did photography for the last 2 records too & "insiders" said each of those records were much better than the ones that came before. & comparisons to older records of hers is always dangerous & never rings true. i am getting the vibe that this new record will have elements of all the previous ones especially since it is her 10th & that is special, but i will not get my hopes up on a random feeling & i am ready to be wrong about everything. we should just wait & trust that lana will deliver no matter the sound or aesthetics. i am sure some fans will dislike the new record & others will love it. 

Manifesting an unreleased called “Ain’t No Candle in the Wind” where the only lyric is the title repeated 112 times so she can get it out of her system for once and for all and we never have to see this lyric again in an official album 
 
 

I want her to expand on the "And what I never said, why there's a price on my head.
It's nothing to do with them, it's my karmic lineage" topic in the next album.
She said in the livestream that there's a word on the record that explains it all and I'm pretty sure she was talking about "lineage". 
She has also said in the past that there is some stuff she's not even allowed to talk about so I wonder if that has changed now that she's openly writing about her struggles with her family in a more explicit way.

i want lana’s next album to go for the first dream album and i just got it from the album i i just a few days later and then i and then i went back into my new album and i got a new album and i got it and i didn’t even want it for her album and i was so sad that i got a new album of the album so she was just wondering what it would like for me and her for the song and then she got it for me to be too good lol 

It's mostly BTD and UV but NFR became her 2nd (?) most streamed album recently and the numbers are insane so at least she won't just be the BTD girl 
BB also had a cute moment with Dealer at least.
And about the pictures I totally agree and I hate it. It's always BTD Lana and even worse... obvious edits of models bodies with her face 

i have to say though… i feel like “old lana” is whats getting popular right now. i dont see any songs from chemtrails or bb going viral or any recent pictures of lana being used in these trends which is unfortunate. its all about the nymphet/girly aesthetics and lana’s direction doesn’t fit into that anymore. so i wonder if her upcoming releases will be bigger in response to the virality of it all or if her core fans will make up the majority of listeners. 

You can say a lot of shit about Jack Antonoff, but he does have his finger on the pulse of his best music with Lana. He said The Greatest is the best song on NFR and White Dress is one of their best songs, and he was..not wrong. I trust him about this new track being on the same level.

One of my favorite things about this album is that it feels like the end of the day of one of the last days of summer. The album begins at evening time just before sunset. There’s a dark storm on the horizon, but the sun is still shining and everything is still golden. Then, the album progresses through sunset, through dusk, through the storm, and into nighttime by the end.
 
It’s that bittersweet feeling of the end of the era and the celebration around that, but also the melancholy of knowing it’s over. NFR was released around this time of year in the northern hemisphere. It was also released at the end of the best summer of my adult life so far and not too long before the pandemic where everything in my life changed significantly and permanently. 
 
It’s one of my top two favorite albums of all time. I’m so grateful that I have it and all of the memories and feelings that are attached to it. It was horrible waiting a year for the album to be released since MAC dropped, but now, I’m so appreciative that it was released when it was.

the only album in her discography that was curated for the critics was Blue Banisters - there are some songs on other albums that do diss them like Brooklyn Baby but Blue Banisters was her revenge. NFR! and Chemtrails were just her having fun and the fact that's she able to have fun again is gonna be an indication that LDR9 is gonna be amazing 

she didn‘t lie when she called White Dress a (very?) good song, so we‘re definitely getting a masterpiece with LDR 9 

She should start pulling a Fiona Apple and releasing records every seven years and just disappear off the radar with her yeehaw friends tbh

I kinda want longer hiatus. She should give herself more time to making album and don't rushing everything, giving pressure to end asap. I didn't want another rushed album.

I don't care if they're ballads, I just need some flavour. Lana needs to understand that she can have piano ballads and still have them sound godly like Old Money...

i feel like when u get rite down to the heart of it, the woman's been creating music in a way that takes u out of the banality of life, to then enjoying life for what it is. and most importantly, caring for it and knowing the importance of being where you are rn and honoring it. 

if u take out the veil of entitlement that a lot of people see her thru, you'll realize even more that she's been doin this for a long time under the radar. waaaaay before it was trendy. 

they don't really care, they just wanna be entertained, so her detractors find ways to weasel themselves in disgracefully. time'll prove again and again how her music and artistry is a caring message. they just don't know how to properly appreciate her. so it's really more on them. i feel like if ur gonna criticize someone, at least make it interesting constructive, and most importantly, be self-aware enough to not look like a total ass/ understand ur role in the equation for at least the principle of it. otherwise ur just complaining which is a waste of everyone's time. 

oh and also down for Rob being more involved on the piano. I hope he gets some kind of magazine spread bwahahahahahaha
