Even though she’s far more present on this version, I don’t think it justifies a re-release imho. I was hyped tbh, but I’m unsure how to feel abt it for now lmao
 
EDIT: tbh I’d be more okay on her not getting a full solo verse if she ended up singing the 2nd chorus almost by herself (maybe changing like, Taylor 1st chorus & Lana backup and then Lana 2nd chorus & Taylor backup)

taylor's versions are indeed a cash grab but not for the reason y'all are pointing lol. it's a cash grab bc it's cheap and lazy. she ruins all her classics by putting no effort in re-recording it, so the final result is lazy vocals and the cheapest production ever. and yes, it is a LOT of work to re-record all those tracks + unreleased ones and work on new music on top of that, that's why she should take her time and really perfect it. but she doesn't. why? why is she putting this subpar material out there? bc she wants the money. therefore making it a cash grab 

i mean... the james ford version video has been up for years, and the other version was just released yesterday, so... if we do the math right...
