that's why when SZA called out lana in her speech my heart smiled because it reminded me that things pass. i remember what she said in 2020 about being hurt by lana's words  i love sza

The Chemtrails reveal was literally not defendable at all imo the way QFTC was… I’m just happy it didn’t get as much traction as I thought it was going to. 
“I’ve had boyfriends who were rappers” when her only “rapper” boyfriend was a white man was literally terrible I will never defend her for that  she’s regrettably a white woman but at least she has good intentions
 
also COTCC cover was horrendous so that made it even worse

I don’t think you are outgrowing Lana’s music because you are still here. You just aren’t GROWING with her music but it’s okay you will get there eventually!
