I used to think Swan Song was a skip (I mean for the first few months after Honeymoons release). I didn't get what it was about, how it's so freeing but also so sad because it sounds like she's in heaven (?). It's so fucking beautiful and cinematic.

I definitely agree with this. When I first heard it on COTCC I really didn't like it. I thought it was too slow paced and it almost sounded like Lana was talking rather than speaking besides the chorus. I have gotten to like it more but it is still low in my ranking of Chemtrails.

Watch it alongside the video, pull the lyrics up! Immerse yourself in that song and it will click, you just have to be in the right place and the right time methinks

california (nfr) was one i always skipped because it was a little slow for my tastes then. one night i was spinning the album and actually started listening to the lyrics..

I didn't get Dealer at first. I remember not liking that there was a different artist for a big portion of the song, but the more I listened to it the more I grew to love it and relate more to the lyrics. I can now appreciate the artistic decisions she made while recording that song and it's one of my favorites off of Blue Banisters now.

i also didn't really care for the studio version of 1949 at first, which is just so crazy to me now because i really love it and it's such a lizzy grant vibe, the fact that it's inspired by lolita gives it a slightly dark, seedy undertone which gives it a little bit more depth, but it generally is a cute, fun song which can be especially enjoyed on nice summer days <3

radio, this song just existed for me in the past, but after i decided to revisit this album again in 2023 it just opened up for Me, its so happy and light to listen to, its insyantly giving u a vibe, not telling of that one of the prettiest into that lana song can have, and it became my favorite off of born to die and took a place in top10 lanas songs from The whole discigraphy, an immaculate gem

Carmen - I always liked it but it wasn’t one of my favorites from BTD. Eleven years later and it finally grew to be one of my favorites from the album

Blue Banisters. I was thrown off by how wordy it was. Now I fully love and appreciate it as a classic Lana song. It's one of her grower songs.

American - I used to always skip it, but now I always come back to it
Brooklyn Baby - I still don't love it, but it used to be one of my least favorites
Cinnamon Girl - I used to absolutely hate the outro

cruel world unfortunately… it took her singing it at the endless summer or her 2016 festival tour for it to finally hit
