There isn't a single Lana album that I dislike but Tunnel definitely feels more thought out and interesting due to a wider palette of inspirations, sounds and instruments used during the process.
 
 
While I do like most of COCC tracks you can tell they could have done way more with them. White Dress feels like a lot of wasted potential to me because the melodies are glorious.

@Kintsugi fashionably late to the party, I know, and I apologize in advance for asking you more questions but I wanna know two things so if you could answer either that would be splendid.
 
1. Is the Tommy Genesis feature leaning into Burnt Norton territory or is it an actual song that feeds both into Tommy and Lana’s sensibilities?
2. When you say the outro for the closer is one for the books, are we talking narratively (like Hope) or sonically (something crazy like Venice Bitch/Black Bathing Suit)?

I find it interesting how (reliable) insiders have been so vague when describing the sonic palate of the album. We have very little information on prominent instruments, tempo, etc. It makes me feel like maybe we’re in for a real treat beyond just piano and strings 

When we expected soft rock and ballads and she brings back the trap beats 
 
I think it's just going to be something subtle like a chord progression and that's it. Maybe it's so subtle that BOZ only realized now and that's why he teased it today 

Imagine she samples an AKA song  mermaid motel or brite lites mixed with a mind numbing bass that shatters windows 

The HBTB theory simultaneously feels plausible and a huge stretch at the same time...guess it's real!
