If you think about it, being painted as the crazy ex girl friend is probably a good thing for Lana. She has always had controversy and it always benefited her in the long-run. 

There is no Sean debacle lmfao literally no one cares 

Lana survived QfTC, then released two albums (i personally love them) that are generally concidered not to be as good as their predecessors by the fans, at least that seems to be the louder bunch. Yet they both were well received by critics.
So this little Sean billboard debacle is so null, she's kind of indestructable atp. Esp since she's about to deliver a masterpiece
 

 

I see so many people compare this album/the song to past projects, but we've never really gotten a song like Ocean Blvd before. This is the first time Orchestra is front and center, and there aren't trap beats (BTD/HM) or heavy drums in the background. Violets for Roses honestly would probably be the closest we've gotten to a sound like this before. I can see why they say this is more LFL. LFL was unique in it's mostly side A trap songs and the side B folk songs, it was a real 'first' for the sound we got from both albums. I think Ocean Blvd is also going to be a 'first' in Lana's discography, hence why it's hard to compare it to other albums 

For real, listened to it with headphones for the first time today.... her voice made me lose my shit

I don’t interpret Ocean Blvd as being about any man. It’s a very self reflective song; I don’t believe she’s directly singing about a person, rather she’s discussing her place in all of her relationships in general. It’s a song about insecurity, codependency, and interpersonal instability, not being horny lol

i just know this is going to be my favorite album
